Beautiful Home Away From Home

Great location, perfect for walking to downtown or quick drive to beach! House was comfortable and big for our family. Only issue was not being given a heads up about lack of basic amenities like hand soap, toilet paper, hand towels, paper towels, dish soap, etc. not sure if this is typical for shore houses but would’ve been nice to be given notice! Owner did let us know a day before that there were no linens. Overall our week long stay was wonderful!

The home was very clean and well decorated and a 15 minute walk to the beach and even closer restaurants and shops. The pool and the spa were a great way to cool down after the beach. The owner was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions.

We stayed here for one week and the house had everything we needed. The swimming pool was a plus. We would stay here again. Communication with property owner was really easy.

We spent a long weekend here with our family in November and it was awesome, the house was perfectly clean, comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos - the couch in the downstairs TV is unbelievably comfy and the beds were also comfy!! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for a home away from home, we enjoyed making S'mores around the fire pit on the first floor deck in the evenings (we brought our on S'mores kit but the house has its own also!) and the layout of the house works really well. The location is great - just a short walk to the main street in Avalon and the beach just a few blocks further down. We booked this house at the very last minute - the day before leaving!, and Mike was very accommodating in getting our reservation all squared away at the such short notice - his communication was prompt and answered everything we needed and worked around VRBO's technical issues to ensure we were all set. I would absolutely recommend this property and stay here again without hesitation and we were all sad to leave!!

Wow! Our family just returned from the most fabulous week in Avalon!! Given the climate of COVID I was unsure we would have summer vacation this year. What a blessing to have found Mike's house!! It was absolutely spotless (and I am a clean freak...), beautifully decorated and the perfect layout for our teens. My husband and I could be relaxing upstairs while the kids (17yr & 19 yr old) could be hanging downstairs or sitting on the lower deck around the fire pit making smores! It was obvious that much thought and care has gone into the house...it felt more like a warm, inviting home. Every amenity was provided: fully stocked kitchen, new grill/patio furniture, plenty of space for everyone, TV room with cozy couches, extremely comfy beds and an outdoor shower. The location is terrific....we walked/rode bikes to town/beach daily. Avalon is 2 blocks away and the beach just past that.. At night, we'd walk to the bay to see the sunset... Mike was wonderful to work with...he quickly answered all of my questions day or night and was a wealth of information regarding all things Avalon! Best of all...he was able to arrange beach chair etc...and bike rentals for us and had them ready when we arrived. Hands down...Avalon was one of our favorite family vacations. We're already looking at dates to return next summer!!
