Comfortable accommodation for our out-of-area family which includes small children. Room for a larger gathering of family during the parade which our multiple littles really enjoyed from the curb as slower adults took it in from the spacious front porch. This was our second year and we hope to continue in the future. We appreciated the decor which was festive but simple and child friendly.
Very roomy, comfortable beds, very clean, lots of little extra amenities (coffee, creamer, shampoo/conditioner, snacks-even had homemade cookies for us! Close to gas and grocery. Heat didn't work when we first arrived, but owners came right away and got it going! House is very charming and quaint! Worked well for our family of 6 adults and 3 kids for the weekend. 20 min. to Columbia for the ball game.
Wonderful!
Woman’s weekend. Family and friends. Ages ranged from 21-81. Went for Moberly Junk junction. Loved Centralia. Beautiful little town. Lovely house.
The house was very comfortable. Loved the front porch with the swing. Quiet place and just across the street was the museum and rose garden which was beautiful! Lots of other things around the area to visit.
Loved the house. It is an old house that is in great shape and is beautiful. It’s a great location, right across from Chance Gardens and close to downtown. We loved the homey touches of homemade cookies and snacks left for us!
We loved it. While we booked it for one of our out of town children and their grown children, we were able to join them with our littles to enjoy the local lighted tractor parade the first night. Our little guys were delighted. It was comfortable, clean, roomy and welcoming. We plan to book again!
This house was decorated perfect, extra blankets and linens if we needed. Water pressure was good, and the beds were so comfortable. Homeowner even had homemade cookies with a cute note waiting for us!
We had a great stay in a wonderful home. The area was beautiful. Great water pressure in bathrooms. Everything worked well. It was clean. The fresh baked cookies and fresh flowers were bonus items. Recommend staying, we hope to be back.
More than enough room for six as we enjoyed Mizzou Homecoming.
We really enjoyed having the house to enjoy visiting with friends from Colorado and Athens, Ga prepping up for game day! It was especially nice to enjoy the historic property across the street! We were lucky enough to tour the inside and learn a great deal about the area from Ms. Marjorie Motley. She is an incredible lady with a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area! And the gardens of the house were incredible. We enjoyed our wine and cheese in the garden. It was definitely a great find!
This was a perfect place for us. Plenty of room and blankets, towels etc. Perfect location to have the small town USA experience-walk to the store, walk to the town square and enjoy the Chance gardens often. Even fresh cookies to greet us☺️Thanks to the property manager!
Spacious and comfortable rooms for large group. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows, blankets and towels. Lovely claw foot tubs. Walkable to shops, restaurants, parks and Chance museum and garden.
We had 4 families coming in from Texas for our family reunion and the Sneed Street house was perfect! Beautiful accommodations. We will rent the house again for the next one! Thanks for providing a beautiful home in our home town to accommodate our family!
My family of 10 stayed here as we laid my husband's ashes to rest in Moberly. It was perfect for that--we all could stay together for the four days we were in the area. Sleeping for all of us was more than adequate + cooking facilities + we could eat dinner all together. It was perfect for our family to gather and inter my husband's (their father and grandfather's) ashes after waiting through the pandemic to do so. Came from Houston, California, and Germany for this occasion. Perfect! Mary Kay Jennings Aug. 4-8, 2022
This is a gem nestled down with some quite neighbors. Whatever you may need is within walking distance. Want a quick evening stroll throw an outdoor flower garden? How about a nice rest by a stream and watch the fish glide by? Both within fifty feet of the front door. The personal touch on the welcoming gift by the host was above and beyond and they even managed to last two days around a pack of teens.
We enjoyed our visit I. The house was lovely. Everything was clean.
Clean, well stocked, great location to downtown.
We stayed here for a Mizzou graduation. All the hotels in town were booked. This was so wonderful for our group. The town of Centralia is darling and the house was absolutely charming! It was huge, and slept all 11 of us comfortably. Sylvia was so sweet and surprised us with delicious cookies upon arrival. It was about a 20 min pretty drive to Columbia. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay, with good amenities. I enjoyed the old house with lots of rooms to accommodate several people. With few locations to house several guests, this is a prime location in the Centralia area for a reunion.
The house is beautiful! Light and airy. Plenty of room for 10 adults! We stayed the weekend for our daughter’s graduation from Mizzou. Our questions were answered promptly and the house was very comfortable and roomy!
