Stayed Apr 10, 2026The House was perfect!! We enjoyed a girl’s weekend in Hermann And the House provided everything we needed. We had dinner together Friday night, the trolley picked us up at the house on Saturday and took us all around town and back home that evening. There were 7 of us and there was plenty of room for all of us to eat, sleep, shower, get ready, have a game night, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing of note is don’t try to walk there from the train station :D we tried that and a sweet lady saw us struggling up the hill and stopped to offer us a ride to the house.

Stayed Mar 26, 2026The house was great. Clean and very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were newly renovated and nice. It’s an old house so it has quirks which is expected. Segmented but overall great for a girls weekend. The trolley was great about picking us up at our door and taking us wherever we wanted. There’s a gas station walking distance but other than that the main part of town is a trolley ride away. But nothing is far.

Stayed Mar 15, 20261. No where did it say that you needed to be a billy goat to get to the house. FOURTEEN STEEP stairs, with no handrails that you had to take from the street up to the house yard, where you then had 7 more stairs to get to the front door. The description did say THE DRIVEWAY was very steep, and it was. My Tahoe scraped the driveway it was so steep.2. It was raining. The wine cellar had a waterfall of water coming thru the stone walls. There were many fans and dehumidifiers in the basement to try to dry up the water covering the floor. This area of the house could not be used, although it was intended for a sitting area. There was a 3rd bedroom in the basement, but the dirty mold smell was SO STRONG that bedroom could NEVER had neen used.3. The musty mold smell continued to the main floor. 4. The master bedroom was ok, other than it was hot. The front room and 2nd floor bedroom were cold, but master was hot.5. The 3rd bedroom upstairs on the 2nd floor was COLD, with no way to warm it up. The stairs were steep and the handrail wasn't within reach when you were coming down the top 2 stairs - very dangerous with no bathroom upstairs and you had to navigate down the stairs during the night. My guest opted to sleep on the couch vs navigating the stairs and it being cold up there.

Stayed Mar 13, 2026This home was beautiful and unique! There was so much character to the home, the stairs and wood were gorgeous. Every room was clean and set up perfectly for the guests. There is extremely helpful information ready in the living room and anything you could need is already thought of in the house. Would definitely stay here again! Had a blast!

Stayed Jan 16, 2026Such a cute house! Very clean and the decor is wonderful! Sofas and beds were comfortable. Kitchen has all the basics, however the skillets were not usable as the Teflon was flaking off or completely off and were not flat bottomed for use on the stove top (the only negative). Some friends and I plan to visit Hermann and this will be a perfect house for us. We'll be back! Thank you!

Stayed Nov 6, 2025This is a bit of Hermann history! The guest house sets the perfect mood for visiting the rest of this ionic German town. My only caution is for those over 70 (none of us were). The stairwells and steps throughout the house were made in different times, making the steps different heights. While this adds originality to the house, it inspires caution when visiting all portions of the Inn.

Stayed Sep 19, 2025The pictures on the listing were really good. It’s a cool old house that was extremely clean but the exterior of the house was very disappointing. There are treacherous steps without proper railing outside. The patio and “ garden” were also disappointing. Just weeds. There is only one bedroom on the main level. Next time I will book closer to the downtown area.

Stayed May 2, 2025We stayed here for the Tour of Hermann Gravel Race. It was perfect for us! Plenty of places to sleep and we used the basement cellar to store and work on our bicycles! It was great! Casey’s was walking distance for the last minute necessities or morning donuts. I would make note that the frying pans could be replaced. The nonstick coating has worn off probably from the dishwasher so I had a small issue cooking breakfast (thankful for Casey’s being so close ha!) The waffle iron was an absolute blessing the following morning! It was a great surprise to see that was an option! My daughter did wish there was some games or coloring books but overall it was all 5 stars for us! Thanks again!

Stayed Mar 28, 2025We had a lovely couples trip to the Kaiser House Inn. It's on the other side of town but it made for a nice walk when needed. The trolley picked us right in front if we weren't in the mood to walk. The property itself was very tidy, renovated nicely with plenty of space. We only used two of the three bedrooms which put it on the pricier side. The cellar was a fun bonus space for karaoke night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Mar 17, 2025My husband and I are both in our 60's and active. We enjoyed the house, but the amount of stairs and the outside stairs needs to be emphasized in the description. Also the bathroom door in the master bedroom would not latch. The overall feel was authentic and really added to our trip. We utilized the entire house and loved the many different spaces for relaxation and visiting. We would stay here again. The town had many historic and interesting things to do from wineries to museums.

Stayed Nov 16, 2024We had a girls weekend in Hermann, MO and had the best time. There is so much to do! When we arrived at the home we were shocked how big it was on the inside. It was beautifully set up and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, as well as the couches. The kitchen has a very homey/gathering feel and the cave, basement area was amazing. I would highly recommend a stay at this home. I would also recommend if you are going out to use the trolley which will pick you up from the home and take you wherever request for a small fee that covers all day. The house was also in a great location!

Stayed Aug 23, 2024This house is amazing! It has charm, beauty, and convenience! Four of us “older ladies” loved every minute in this home. There are a few stairs here and there but once you get used to them they were easy to navigate! It was up-to-date with modern conveniences but holds a rustic charm. You will not be disappointed!
