Beautiful family frendly holiday home with private swiming pool

We enjoyed a fantastic 2 week stay at this villa in Gustirna, near to Marina. The villa itself is so comfortable; air-conditioned, well equipped with plenty of areas to relax, whether by the pool or on one of the balconies. Everything you need, we felt, was provided.Without a doubt, what makes this vacation villa so special are the hosts, Ivan and his wife Ivanka. We arrived late Saturday night but Ivan met us in Marina and guided us to our home. Homemade food and wines were laid on for us - no need to shop the next day! His family made sure we enjoyed some freshly grilled fish on Sunday, which was also delicious!Ivan provided us with a tour of Marina by car, pointing out all the best places to park, eat, shop and swim - excellent local knowledge to have.We travelled to some of the other towns in the vicinity by car too. Our visits were enhanced by all the many links that Ivan had sent via WhatsApp regarding what to see, where to eat.All in all we would recommend this villa to anyone. We've never experienced better.

Ivan was the perfect host. the house and location was perfect, we had a great stay and will definitely be going back.

We had a wonderful week staying at this villa. The hosts were amazing and couldn’t do enough to be helpful. We had some very tasty food prepared for us along with welcome gifts and a private tour around marina. The hosts live next door and were very helpful when needed but did not encroach on our privacy. The villa has everything you could possibly need, the pool was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. The location is very quiet and not too far from beaches, restaurants and supermarkets but a car is essential. Would highly recommend this villa and would love to return in the future.

Lovely spacious Villa. Had everything thing we needed and the swimming pool was great. The hosts, Ivan and his wife, could not have been more welcoming, preparing some food for our arrival, produce from their farm and olive oil and grappa which was all great! They provided so much advice for local beaches parking, places to eat etc which was so helpful. Ivan also provided a contact for boat hire and gave great recommendations where to visit. The village was lovely and peaceful but you do need a car. We had had a wonderful relaxing time!

We could not have had a better holiday in Croatia than staying in Ivan and Ivanka’s lovely house with pool, not least as it was made even more special by their unbelievable hospitality. The house itself was excellent with all the equipment we could want, a great pool and a BBQ house with outdoor seating area and an upstairs shady patio as well. It is situated in a little village a few miles inland from Marina so a car is needed but it only takes about 10 minutes to get to Marina where there are a number of great restaurants. There is a small local shop in Gustirna village for bread and essentials and a bigger supermarket in Marina. It’s an excellent location to get to a wide range of places of interest too - Trogir is 20 minutes away, the airport only 26 minutes away, Split Old town is about 40 minutes away and Krka National Park under an hour away. The coastline in this area is superb with a number of small coastal villages with pretty, artificial small beaches lined with restaurants. Ivan and his wife were so welcoming and we benefitted from gifts of their own-grown fruit and vegetables, wine and grappa as well as their home produced dried figs and nuts. Nothing was too much trouble and Ivan’s mother even produced a whole tray of tray bakes on a local saint’s feast day! They could not have been kinder. Ivan gave us a great deal of information about the area and what to see, the best places to park and the best restaurants to eat in. We highly recommend staying here!

The property is beautiful, with lots of space and privacy and the pool is perfect for relaxing around. Ivan, his wife and all the family made us feel so welcome during our stay. They are so friendly, kind and generous in sharing their beautiful Croatian produce (food, wine, olive oil & more!), and Ivan's advice and information of the whole area was so helpful. They are the perfect hosts!

Ivan and his wife were wonderful hosts for us for 14 days. We were cared lovingly for and pampered the whole time. The Holiday home and pool were very clean and well maintained. Nothing was missing. We would be happy to spend our vacation with Ivan and his wife again at any time

We stayed for a week and could not have enjoyed it more. From a welcoming host, who couldn't do enough to tell us the region's highlights, from food, locations and parking spots, to a superbly fitted-out apartment. The apartment had plenty of space, a private pool and sunning areas and everything you could need. Our first trip to Croatia won't be the last and hope to revisit Ivan's home soon

Stayed here in July 2023 with wife and 2 children (15&16). Great property and best hosts ever! The host lives next door but you have all the privacy you need. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Villa was lovely, clean and equipped with everything you’d want. If something was needed, Ivan would get it! Arrived to find essentials in fridge together with gifts for our arrival. Ivan then drove us to the local town (Marina (4min drive)) and showed us key places for shopping/eating/parking. Top room has a lovely balcony and seating area which we used most nights and overlooked the mountains as the sun set. Great pool with good shade area if required.There is a grill/BBQ to use in a dedicated room by the pool. Very well designed with all plates/dishes in there to use, in addition to everything in the Villa. Wanted some (more) wine whilst I was cooking and they collected a bottle from the neighbours local wine shop and brought it over! Ivan sent a comprehensive list of where to go/eat in region. We followed all recommendations and all were brilliant. Spectacular towns all around. Trogir our fav but many beautiful. Ivan’s recommended a friend - Goran, who has a boat in the local town. Hired that for 4 hrs and visited many local bays, swam and had great fun. Would definitely recommend. On leaving we were given yet more gifts. If I had a Villa I’d aspire to host like Ivan and his family! Loved the Villa, the stay, the hosts and the location.
