Beautiful Beach House with Recreation Facilities - Short Walk to Beach and Shops

We stayed for the month of December and enjoyed Sean's house, the dog-friendly trails, and pool/hot tub within the gated community. The house is conveniently located near the beach, several shops/restaurants, the highway, and the Coaster. We visited Chandler's and the Camp Store multiple times on foot with our small dog. The house was very comfortable, and it was handy being able to park in the garage. The WiFi was fast and reliable, allowing us to work remotely. We were only disappointed that the fireplace wasn't working while we were there over the Christmas holiday, which Sean tried to remedy for us. The kitchen is well-appointed and has updated appliances; we were grateful for the electric kettle. Sean was very responsive in all communications before/during our stay and worked to ensure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again!

The set up is great for families and close to nearby attractions. Short walk to an excellent pool. But there is no local property manager and the owner hasn't seen the place in 3 years. So, if there are maintenance issues he relies on a local contractor. It might be weeks (in our case) before items (such as ceiling fans and smoke alarms) are addressed. The neighbors are friendly and if you bring your dog he will love it, but be aware that dogs are not allowed on the beach, even leashed, unless you drive to Delmar.

My family and I stayed here and had such a great experience! Sean was the perfect host; always very helpful and attentive. The home was a great fit for our family (2 adults, 2 young kids and 2 cats). The neighborhood felt very safe and friendly. Great location, especially if you enjoy the beach! There is also a beautiful pool area in the neighborhood, that we visited almost everyday with our kids. This is a great spot and I would highly recommend it! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Sean!

I was very happy with the home and location of course with covid we were limited as to what we could do but we enjoyed a nice relaxing vacation enjoying the pool and the back patio

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a 6 week stay Sean, the property manager was easy to reach and responded quickly. We had fun exploring the area and it’s close to the beach and great shopping and restaurants. It even has a dog door. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a vacation in the Carlsbad area. Carole Quirk

Very well maintained, fully equipped and comfortable. It has all the amenities we needed and is just minutes from the beach. We have used VRBO on several occasions and Sean is the best landlord by far. Very, very responsive and helpful.

We rented this house for a month while our new home was being finished. We had 2 adults, 2 teenagers and two dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us. The owners made the process very simple and were very accommodating. The house is decorated nicely and completely up to date. The neighborhood is very friendly and felt very safe. We enjoyed all of the amenities as well such as the pool, tennis courts and volleyball court. The beach and shops are all within walking distance. We highly recommend this property.

This home was a home away from home for us. We stayed here for 2 months starting in the middle of May with our two young boys. There was more than enough room for our family. I highly recommend this house and neighborhood for families with kids. We enjoyed having a pool a short walk from the house as well as a short walk to the beach. Sean was very easy to work with. The house was very neat and clean when we arrived. We hope to visit again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable, well-appointed home. It was immaculate, had lots of space and had everything we needed for our extended stay. We enjoyed walking to the beach (about a seven-minute walk) and viewing the ocean every time we left the neighborhood by car. The owners were great to work with.

Great property in nice neighborhood, gated community, great location. The house is well equipped and welcoming. Walking distance to the beach, amenities. I appreciated the communication with the owners and we will be returning to this rental in the future.
