Option to Purchase Sea Island Temporary Membership Cards:
The home owner has a Sea Island Membership, thus Temporary Membership Cards can be arranged and purchased for renters, which grants them access to all Sea Island Amenities and gives them the ability to book activities, dining, spa, golf, etc with Sea Island. If the guest chooses to purchase temporary membership cards, the guest is charged the fees, as shown below:
Adults (26+): $175 per adult, per day
Children Under 26: $60 per child per day. Children are considered under 26 years old, not married, immediate children. (2 free children’s cards are provided per family, with the purchase of at least 1 adult card, per family that day.)
Guests can pick and choose who in the group gets cards, and on what days. The cards do not have to be consecutive. One person can book up to two tee times and one dining reservation for the same day with one card. Please reach out if you have questions or want more information on how temp member cards work.
Example: A Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children under 26 will be charged the following on a daily basis for the days that they opt to purchase temp member cards: $175 per adult, per day and nothing for their 2 children, so their total would be $350 per day. If a family has 3 children under 26, the 3rd child would incur an additional $60 per day charge, for total of $410 per day to have temporary membership cards for everyone. Children under 7 are free and cannot have their own card. Children can receive their own card once they turn 7.
Pet Policy: One dog (that is a non-aggressive breed or mix, per insurance standards) is permitted per stay with a $250 pet fee, and the dog type must be approved prior to booking. Renters are only allowed to have one dog on property, and if any additional dogs are discovered on property, the guest will be notified to vacate the property with no refund or assessed a $250 per day, per pet fee, at the discretion of the owner.
The reason I almost hesitate to give a good review is that I'm afraid the property will become too difficult to book again. Having honeymooned in the Golden Isles 40 years ago and returning every year since, we have now grown to a family of 11 including 5 grandchildren. We have stayed in every property imaginable- hotels, condos and homes. None of them adequately fit our family until our stay here. Everything was perfect! Three floors gave three families plenty of privacy while the fantastic new pool brought us all together. And there were days on the beach when it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves! Being able to purchase temporary memberships to The Cloister and all its facilities was icing on the cake. Wendy was an absolute joy to deal with. She made the process so easy and was available whenever we had a question. Like I said, I almost hesitate to give this review. But since I went ahead and made reservations for next year, I guess I'm safe.
Property is very quiet and cozy which is what we were looking for. Thank you, Wendy for being so helpful!!
Excellent
This property accommodated all of us and easy access to the beach. We lucked up with warm weather and the children loved the pool as well. Wendy answered every need/question and made our stay so easy!
Property site was great, plenty of room for everyone and Wendy the site person was extremely helpful with anything we needed.
We came with our whole family. Age 94- 16 and everyone had a great time! House was very clean and comfortable. Nice that all bedrooms have their own bath! It’s far from beach club but has very easy beach access (short walk) to a very open/ not crowded area. We rented a golf cart and that was a great way to get to beach club, cloister etc. Wendy, the property manager, was extremely helpful and responsive!
“ The picture of the house does not do it justice” is what my family says. And they are right.! The house has so much character. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood; just a short walk to the beach. It is warm and charming; very welcoming. The property manager Wendy goes out of her way to be sure you have what you need. It was a great home away from home to explore the Golden Coast. Now I can relate to “Georgia on My Mjnd.”
We had a wonderful stay at this home! There are so many rooms and so much space. We went with (5) adults, and 4 kids, ages 2-7. The house had everything you need and the Manager, Wendy, was nothing short of accommodating. The pool was just finished when we came and it was great! We would 100% stay at this house again!
The house is an older home on Sea Island, but a classic. Great location (two minute walk to the beach) and plenty of space. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The property manager was extremely helpful and responsive.
This property is very nice and has good accommodations for our family of 14 . The ages were14 years old -81 years old. We had a beautiful weather all week. We enjoyed the family room upstairs by the kitchen and the outside patio . The pool was not completed but we knew that when we rented..we had to buy temporary passes to Sea Island to go to the Beach Club, dinners, golf, Bingo,Bowling, bikes and Rainbow Island. They were pricey for 14 people. The 2 days we didn’t buy passes we enjoyed the beach at the end of the street..thanks to Wendy and Shady Beaches for getting a tent for us to sit under. The house had some special touches ..flowers in the rooms and bathrooms, hand soap pumps at all sinks,, great grill and utensils for grilling, a new ice maker, WI-FI , TV’s, night lights, alarm clocks and dog friendly..Crosley loved it he house too..thanks so much.
We loved this house. It was a great layout for teenagers, as it had three bedrooms and a game room downstairs. We also loved that every bedroom had its own bath. Great location, and easy to get to the beach. Wendy, the property manager, was so nice and responsive. We’d rent again! Thanks for a great Easter weekend!
