Beautiful 4 BR, 3 bath, Highlands Reserve Villa

The inside of the property is fine. Decor not to my taste but it was fine for what we needed however the outside was severely neglected - as we pulled up my heart sank, the slabs on the path were broken and dangerous, the front looked neglected. The pool area was grubby and there was a little section on the left, like a deck, with a dirty stained sunbed that I didn’t even dare look at and bits of broken metal. The lanai needs serious attention, branches and twigs stuck in it. We have stayed in many properties in Florida with trees nearby and have never had anything like this. The fan above the table outside was rusty and very rickety. The garage was just a dumping ground for broken and unwanted items. It just needs some money spent on it. The property is near a busy road and the noise from 4:30am was horrendous with heavy trucks up and down it. This was not mentioned at all before booking and I feel that it should be. If you have young children it would be a massive issue. Our holiday wasn’t ruined, we had everything we needed in the inside of the property and it was clean. The host was brilliant and really responsive but i wouldn’t return mainly due to the road noise, which I appreciate the host can’t help but should warn people, and the outside areas really need sorting.

Upon arrival - the house was not cleaned - the floors were dirty.. the kitchen was never cleaned properly. We ended up cleaning it ourselves. The house was infested with ants. The Property Manager did bring a bottle of ant killer but we killed ants everyday while there. The pool was cold - we paid for two weeks of heat - we were told it was 86 degrees - only to find out that the heater was shutting off every night - never heated up to 86 during the day. The garburator broke - this lead to water being all over the kitchen floor - a plumber was called - he removed the thing so then we didn't have one. It was one issue after another.

Host Angie was awesome. Attended to any requests with haste. The home is comfortable but could use a lot if upgrades. Has some structural issues but nothing to make you turn away. If you just want a place to sleep and take a dip in the heated pool inexpensively, this would be a good choice.

Didn't know that the street behind the house was very loud in the morning when the big trucks went by at 4:30 in the morning and the ice maker didn't work and water pressure was weak and tv could be bigger and in the right cabinet. other than that is was good to ok. Still had a great time but will probably not rent that house again. unless it is super cheap.

We fly to Florida twice a year and always rent a vacation home, but I've never in my life seen such a disgusting pool deck. If you sat on the chairs, your clothes would be dirty afterward door frame , floor so dirthy ! ! I complained about this, and on the third evening, a woman came ( in the darkness) with a flashlight simply walked in through the back door in the dark. I've got a email 20 minutes before she came, but I was not in house, so I couldn't tell my hubby about that. My husband was very frightened and complained. The woman told him to call and that she would come with a pressure washer if no one was in the home, but she never responded to my calls or messages. The cleanliness inside the house was okay not very good but okay , but some of the furniture is very worn and needs replacing. Because of the proximity to the busy road, you're woken up at 3 a.m. in the morning. During the day, it's impossible to have a conversation on the pool deck, one truck after another drives right past the house—this, of course, isn't the homeowner's fault. To top it all off, the pool heater was broken on 11 out of 14 days. After several inquiries, I at least got my money back.

Great house

Location is perfect as far as being able to reach any amusement park or attractions. It was literally no more than 20 minutes away (45 with traffic during peak hours). Plenty of stores, restaurants and shopping areas. Check in was very easy. The home was very spacious and easy to get too.The property is a little outdated. The common areas outside like the pool and sitting area was not well tended. There were wires not covered up and the pool filter needed to be replaced. The major drawback is that it is right off the highway and you can hear every car and truck all throughout the night. If you need quietness to sleep then this will bother you but if you can sleep with sound I recommend turning on rain sounds or white noise to block it out. Communication was great, any other minor issues we had was handled expeditiously through management and that was during the holiday season.

I was not impressed when paid for pool heating and gad to complain three ti.es pool was cold. I was informed by property manager when attendex first time at property the pool was 84 degrees after dippinga tgermometer quickly in water and had been in sun too long when had only been shops . I was told people say only a couple staying thwn bring family days later. I was told they would have to investigate why the pool was supposidly cold. I raised other issues aaid by propity manager and was then givwn a full refund on heating as advised pump was buent out. The people you initialy email respond very quick but the property manager has not answered phone numerous times or called back. I have left villa clean but did not use entrance by small door due to over run with ants

Villa was very spacious. We enjoyed our stay. Villa is in need of some refreshing but met our needs. The pool area was pretty grubby but we contacted property manager who came out the same day to clean it up. Location was good but the noise from all the trucks passing was somewhat disappointing. These started very early in the morning (4.30 am) until late in the afternoon.

Will definitely be back

The property management were superb, every time I reached out to them with a question or needing help they were very quick to respond, location was perfect for us and we enjoyed our time here immensely!
