Stayed Aug 1, 2025Pros: pool was clean with seating and umbrellas; beautiful house with lots of space for all 13 of us; lovely landscape; responsive host. Cons: There is some cleaning (bathrooms) and maintenance (such as broken outdoor seating) that could be improved. Renters should also know that there is no longer a pond, the vineyard/winery is not open, and there are amazingly friendly outdoor animals (dog and cats) that like to interact with renters.

Stayed Jul 17, 2025Overall, our stay was ok. A few important things that weren’t disclosed before we got there: the owner has cats that they leave outside during your stay, however, there is cat hair all over the inside of the house. This was problematic as we had people with cat allergies (the kids enjoyed the cats and they’re quite friendly, at least). Also, the fully stocked pond that’s advertised in the ad is completely dried up. We booked this place partly because we wanted to fish. Finally, the gas grill wasn’t working because the propane tank was missing a gasket. We had to buy a new propane tank to use the grill. If you’re looking for a large place and don’t have issues with pet hair/dander, this would be a good fit for you. There are also tons of appliances and dishes you can use.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024Beautiful house, loved the kitchen with all you need to make your meals. Very roomy bedrooms and comfy beds. Air-conditioning works great. Came with friends and family for a long weekend vacation spent on Lake Shasta. We all would come back again. Highly recommend!
