We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a wing. A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping. Amazing towns and villages around, fields of sunflowers, kayaking, markets..... We all loved it, thanks Barbara !

We booked the villa for our extended family and everyone had a great time. Barbara is very friendly and quick to respond to questions. The pool in particular is very good.

Barbara was a lovely, attentive host. The beautiful, historic place is set in a quiet village in an idyllic countryside location. Great pool and surrounds with plenty of shade for the ridiculously hot weather we had when we were visiting. The house stays lovely and cool. It was excellent to have everything we needed on hand from kitchen supplies and essentials to pool toys and badminton sets and loads of towels, linens etc. Pool room was fun and there was too much to do in the villa. We had a great time chilling out and connecting over BBQs and lovely local food and wine. We loved exploring the local towns and canoeing down the river as well as a slightly longer trip to Cognac. We flew in to Bordeaux and out of La Rochelle which was a fun way of extending our holiday! Thoroughly recommended.

We spent two fantastic weeks at Le Relais. Having come all the way from Australia, it was nice to have a big family get together with our family from the Netherlands, Ireland and the U.S. The house is so comfortable and homely that it felt as though we had always lived there. The property is incredibly spacious which allowed everyone to have their own space if required. The kids played in the pool, garden and playhouses day after day. No electronic devices were used throughout our stay. The nearby picturesque villages were full with culture and history. We are already planning our next get together in 2019. Our hostess Barbara was very welcoming and accommodating at our arrival. I couldn't recommend this wonderful house highly enough.

Barbara's house is very convenient and very big. Adults and kids enjoyed their stay very much. The garden is so beautiful, with natural tree shadow. The swimming pool is big and very clean. The all house has been such perfect, and very welcoming. It's been the 2nd year we stay in Pillac and we love it !

We stayed here as a group of 25, 10 adults and 14 children. It was perfect and provided everything we needed. Barbara was so helpful and we had an amazing holiday. Thank you.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Le Relais. The house was lovely, traditional French. we were a family party of 20, 9 children ranging from 5-16 and 11 adults. The house had plenty of space for us all, the communal areas e.g. kitchen, dining room, living room, and outside space were fantastic. Barbara, the owner was there to welcome us and give us any advice required. the pool area was lovely and a big hit with the children, as was the games room. Free Wi-Fi was also very popular with both children and adults alike. Nearby Aubeterre was lovely. It has a riverside beach for swimming, kayaking, with a reasonably priced café. we also visited Nabinaud (about 8 mins away) for the high ropes course, maze and another lovely beach. All in all, a fantastic family holiday destination that I would recommend visiting . Thank you Barbara.

Our family of 16 enjoyed the spacious house and the children loved playing in the interesting garden. We had lovely weather and spent a lot of time at the pool
