Reviewer Comments: The house had attention to details and the windows facing into the kitchen were amazing. We enjoyed the back porch and loved the well stocked kitchen. There was plenty of space for family to sit down to dinner together. It was farther from the beach and pool but we didn’t really mind since there was a golf cart. The park almost across the street was great. Would like to see you add a few more items for children in the park for 1 to 3 age range as well. As vacation property owners myself I think I would say time to replace throw pillows, some rugs etc to give it a perfect 5 it deserves. Lovely decorating too. We would stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Anchor was the perfect rental for our group of 11. We appreciated the golf cart, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and grill. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals easily and having 2 dishwashers was life-changing! Super easy to throw a load of laundry in (if necessary) in the stackable washer dryer in the basement that was super quiet and could even be run while people slept in the nearby bedrooms. The number of bathrooms (3) made it so that each family in our group could claim their own bathroom and for us that worked out great. It was also awesome to find luggage racks in each closet for easy access to luggage or if you prefer unloading your suitcase into the empty closet with hangers provided was an option. It was a first for me and a nice surprise to find TVs in each of the upstairs bedrooms having stayed at a few other properties in the neighborhood. We found the kitchen table perfect for gathering and everyone could fit! The screened in porch on the back of the house was also a nice quiet place to gather or for morning coffee. The Anchor was a great choice, along with the Beachwalk in general and we hope to be back someday. Thank you for arranging a beautiful home.

This home was tastefully decorated, perfectly clean, very comfortable, and incredibly well appointed. It had everything you could possibly need during your stay. Definitely a 10/10!

We were three families, 6 adults and 5 kids. Highlights: good house, well stocked with lots and pans, close to Chicago so easy to get to/from. It was nice that there was a community pool and close access to the national park and Lake Michigan. The house was built in 2017, so everything is new and nice. The kids rooms are downstairs with their own living room and bathroom. The adults rooms are way upstairs on the second story, so it would be great for families whos kids are a little older. Ours were 3-6. Cons: We probably wouldn’t have booked this property if the following had been made clear to us: the water in the community lake is disgusting. It had blue green algae and we didn’t feel comfortable letting our kids near it. The listing said it had access to a private lake, which is true, but it’s unusable for swimming. Some people used kayaks to fish and it was ok. The kayaks and other “sports equipment” that’s in the listing is not actually owned by the property and you have to book it through the community’s activity center. Other people booked the boats all day so we had no access to them. The house was not cleaned before we came; the floors were black and we mopped everything. They had put fresh towels on our beds and wiped the counters but the rest of the house was not clean. The house supposedly came with a “starter pack” which should have included toilet paper for each bathroom, 1 paper towel roll, 5 trash bags, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dish soap. We did not have the trash bags, dishwasher pods, dishwasher soap, or laundry pods. The management was ineffective and rude. There was one nice woman, but she did not seem to be able to get anything done. All of the smoke detectors in the house were broken (pulled down from the ceiling). We called management 2x everyday about this list of issues and were told over and over that someone would come out. No one ever showed. It’s frustrating because this place has the potential to be really good, but they aren’t managing it well

Very clean, commmunication was great and home was well stocked and ready for us when we arrived. The golf cart is a great perk and such a fun part of the trip for the kids.
