This is an absolutely gorgeous home that is meticulously cared for. The kitchen was a joy to cook in and was well-stocked with cookware, utensils, and dinnerware. The hot tub was a treat at the end of the day and made us all feel relaxed. We loved the entire Beachwalk community and all it has to offer, even in the spring season! We could not imagine recommending this property more highly and look forward to returning someday soon. Thank you!

The house was perfect for our family holiday gathering. The house was spacious, comfortable and well stocked for cooking and plenty of games.

We were a family of 12 adults and 3 children, and this property accommodated us very well. The property was just as shown in the pictures. The home was very clean, and the bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen had all the essentials for meal prep and cooking. It's family friendly and there is space for the children to play. The host had the property nicely decorated for Christmas. My family and I were well pleased!

Our cousin vacation couldn't be better! Royal Retreat is a super house for multiple families with a great layout of bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of space in the basement for the kids to bunk up. Terrific common area where we could all cook and eat together, play games, and hang out. Loved the screened porch -- hot tub and grill were great and the golf cart and wagon make it easy to get to the beach. We'll be back!

This was our second year staying at “the purple house” with extended family (all between the ages of 2 and 65) and we had another wonderful experience. Trish is great with communication and an incredible host. We hope to continue the tradition of renting this beautiful house!

Great place to stay with a big family

My family of 12 have been renting vacation homes for over 20 years, and this one is hands down the best we’ve ever stayed in. Everything about the home was perfect, beautifully maintained, thoughtfully stocked, and so comfortable for our whole group. You can really tell the owners put a lot of care into every detail. The location within Beachwalk Resort was ideal, with easy access to the beach, pool, and all the fun amenities. We made so many great memories and truly didn’t want to leave. Already looking forward to coming back next year, thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We were a family group, ages 1-91 and everyone was comfy and had a great time! We found it to be Exceptionally clean, fresh and well-appointed. The house is bright and cheery and the owner responded quickly to all our questions. We are already thinking about booking again. We really liked the plentiful beach towels but we do recommend bringing your own beach chairs.

Stunning property that is walking distance to the lake! Perfect for hosting my family and friends for graduation weekend at Notre Dame (very simple/easy drive to campus). We really enjoyed the amenities and the check out process was very easy. The host was also very kind and responsive! Would definitely recommend this property for anyone in the Michiana area!

We had an amazing time at the royal retreat. We were three families and comfortably had space for kid play and adult leisure. The location of the park and woods made for great winter fun. Would love to return someday!

This is also our winter home away from home. Our place to come together and have a fabulous time.

We have stayed at this house multiple times. and we love it!! It’s super well equipped and such a great house for gatherings. We will be back next year!!!

This house is large, beautiful and very clean. We did an annual girls trip for the second year in a row at this house and enjoyed our stay.

The title of this review tells it like it is. The Pusatera's have done everything right for the past 10 yrs that our group has vacationed at the Royal Retreat. You'll not find a cleaners, more welcoming home than this one. If you need anything, Tricia will available. We'll be back in 2025 for our 11th year at this beautiful beachhouse.

The 2024 Women’s Retreat was held at the VRBO Royal Retreat. This property has been a popular choice for our retreat for multiple years (starting before Covid). Its location is central for the members attending from Illinois and Michigan, and it is close to Lake Michigan for amazing scenery. The property is suitable for holding our 3-day retreat, and the accommodations lend nicely to a comfortable stay. We conduct sessions and hold discussions during the day. The open space design of the living/dining room meets our need for conducting our sessions. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked with appliances, cookware, utensils, and dinnerware. The sleeping accommodations and linens are adequate for our needs as well. It is a plus to have a washer and dryer, and a bonus to have a lovely enclosed porch, nice deck, hot tub, and a golf cart for local transport. As a repeat renter, I recommend the Royal Retreat as a choice location and rental.

We have stayed at this house for several years now and its perfect for our family weekend. There are plenty of bedrooms and areas where you can get some quiet time. The location of the house is perfect for those that like the beach,casinos, shopping and wineries.

We are a group of friends who meet here every year. We love this house, partly because of the parking lot so close by. We like the kitchen for cooking and the convenience of the dining/living room area. Also the screened in porch.

We love staying in Beachwalk and this house is perfect for our large group! Tricia is always on top of communications and ensures we have what we need (we’ve stayed here multiple times)! Cannot recommend enough!

Loved this house - everything was fantastic.

Our stay at Royal Retreat was amazing. The house was beautifully decorated - spacious for 8 adults and 6 younger kids and well-stocked with all we needed. Having a golf cart was great for getting around to the pool, the beach and other activities. We also brought two bicycles which helped in addition to the golf cart. The whole area is walkable but it was nice to have. Patricia was a great communicator. Whole area was family friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Another beautiful week at the Royal Retreat cottage! The cottage was clean, in a great location and had everything we needed for a fun filled week. We all enjoyed the hot tub, pool, Lake Michigan, and the fishing. The host was very attentive when I had a question and we are planning to rent again next year! A wonderful vacation in a beautiful cottage!

Our extended family just loves Royal Retreat and it's the perfect space for summer fun together! Golf card makes beach trips easy and we love the bikes they have on hand. We will be back!
