Beachfront Sea Shell | Beachfront, Steps to Water

The property is great. It's a very nice house with three very roomy bedrooms and king-size beds, and we'd like to stay there again. The only issue we had is there is a beach nourishment project underway, so the beach was closed during our stay. However, that was no fault of the owner, and once the beach is open again we'd love to stay there again.

The house is well located in a nice quiet area, and the view is lovely. The beach is just steps away from the deck. We enjoyed spending time outside on the deck overlooking the beach. The house is comfortable and was very quiet. The kitchen is well appointed. We had a few minor maintenance issues that the management team responded to but were unable to address during our stay, but we were not significantly impacted. I would definitely stay in this property again but would want to know that the issues we experienced were resolved before returning. The management team was very courteous and responsive and easy to work with which I appreciate very much. Overall it was a great experience for two adults. If I had a larger group I might have been more upset by the issues. These issues included the back door unable to stay shut unless the deadbolt was engaged; the towel bar came crashing down immediately upon touching it in the second bathroom, likewise with the toilet paper holder (these items were clearly broken previously and had been for quite some time); the back porch lights would not remain on due to an issue with the switch. There are a few other cosmetic issues that a painter could address easily but we overlooked those. We would like to return at a future time despite these inconveniences, with the hope that they have been addressed. Many thanks!

The beach view was unobstructed and had excellent morning sunrises. Easy access to the beach. Beds were very comfortable.

Views are amazing, plenty of beachfront due to the lack of driving on the beach at location. Great experience overall.

This house was a nice place when I leased it one year ago, however there were numerous repairs needed this time, & I turned in a list of problems. They need to reduce the price & fix the problems. It has a great deck & it's beach front, but the property management needs to do their job.

Have stayed on the island for the past 12years and this was the most enjoyable trip that I can remember House was very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quaint and quiet Great few days away Thank you

This house was so cute, and the location was exceptional!

The place was very clean and confortable. But, there was a 6-8 inch hole in the wall in one of the bedroooms. The property manager notified me that they were aware of it just before I arrived. I do think that someone should inspect the building as i felt the light switches need attention. Behind one of the toilets might have a leak. Some of the faucets are loose and the toilet paper holders are about to fall off. All in all it was a very enjoyable quiet place to relax. Thanks again.

The house is a bit older, but overall a great place. It was really nice being right on the beach, and not a far driving distance to other attractions on the island. Although the window shutters are meant for storms, they came in handy used as blacking out the rooms -especially with littles that still nap. We would definitely come back.

We loved the deck and being right on the beach. We found the place clean and comfortable, but in need of a little TLC. Overall a great choice for Galveston.

We highly enjoyed our stay. One of the best places we have stayed at in Galveston. Will stay here again in the future!

It was a cute beach house in a nice area with the beach right out in front of us. The house was super cute and the perfect size. Very clean and the location was great. Only thing is the door kept getting stuck and the kids had a hard time getting the lock to unlatch. Also, just a heads up I know many rental vacay houses beach chairs, toys, and umbrellas to borrow but this property comes with literally zero toys or supplies. So make sure you bring all of your beach stuff. Overall, it was a pleasant nice little vacay away for the weekend.

Overall this is a nice house. The property and location was as described. For the most part it was clean, with the exception of there being mold on the shower liner in our bathroom and a few stains on the carpet. I know it is a beach house and there's lots of humidity but shower liners are cheap and easily replaced. The house was right on the beach which was nice, and we enjoyed the sound of the ocean and morning walks while we were there. The front door and surrounding area was made of glass and there were absolutely no blinds and no curtains for privacy. This meant that at night anyone could look inside the house and see everything and everyone in that general area. The front door was difficult to unlock and open. You had to push in to get the lock to engage and there were a couple of times I had to go out the back door and come around to the front just to get the door to open. While we really liked the location, we would not stay here again until these things were fixed or changed. Hopefully the owner will be made aware.

We really enjoyed this lovely house. Only one member of our party could unlock & lock the doors. That was a problem.

From a very difficult to operate entry door mechanism to both bathrooms needing maintenance/repairs to tv remote needing attention, to ice maker needing repairs, my wife and I felt like we should have been paid to stay in the property, instead of vice versa. In addition, Maria offered a credit to our credit card five days ago and that has not happened. We book frequently thru VRBO and this experience was not what we typically experience.

We were just looking to be able to spend some quiet time with family. This home provided ample space for hanging out, inside and out. We wanted to be away from the busy area, but enjoy the beach views. It was perfect!

The house is well designed for up to 3 couples. The view is fantastic! Easy walk to the beach. The front door was extremely difficult to open, and the women in our group were totally unable to get in or out without help from someone in our group with a strong grip. It took awhile for someone to come to help, and so we were delayed entry to the house. The maintenance guy also had trouble getting the door locked and unlocked. He took pictures and said that the owner would be contacted for replacement or repair of the door. This is a safety issue and a concern because in the event of a fire, the women in our group would not have been able to get out on their own. There were so other minor repairs that needed doing, but we liked the house and would stay there again if we knew that the door situation had been fixed.

The house was clean BUT the ductwork needs to be cleaned. There was a strong smell/odor. If you have allergies or breathing issues, I would not recommend this house unless the issue has been addressed. I did report the issue.

Terrific location, privacy good during week, weekend has lots of visitors to beach but not as many as along the seawall in town. Restaurants very good in town or as casual as you might want. Beaches very well maintained. Good for families with younger teens. No loud music or racing cars around. Close food shops or big grocery stores only 4-5 miles. Great family place.
