beachfront on the Delaware Bay- beautiful Prime Hook Beach

Super cute house literally right on a beautiful and natural beach. We loved the deck, watching the freighters, the birds and seeing the horseshoe crabs. Sunrise with coffee on the deck and cocktails around back overlooking the nature preserve. We even got to experience nature's fury during a tropical storm, talk about exciting. This house has everything you need and then some. Highly recommend.

Lovely, peaceful getaway!

The stay was absolutely perfect. The second we walked in and saw the view of the water from the porch and house windows we booked our next family trip. There is tons of stuff to occupy your time without having to bring it with you. The private beach was perfect and the hummingbirds and crabs were fun to watch! The hosts even thought of my son and left a small gift for his first birthday!

Nice location. You can step right on the beach from the back porch. Very nice acomidations including all extras included to do things. I was able to take my granddaughter on he first kayak in the ocean. We played ping pong. We had good surf fishing right in front of the house. Decent crabing close by. The house was very spacious and had wonderful views. We recommend this rental for wonderful family vacations.

The yellow cottage was amazing! The views, the relaxed family vibes, everything! We had an unforgettable family getaway. It was peaceful and homey, and the perfect stay for our first time in Delaware! We definitely hope to come back!

Beach was nice, house is comfortable.

Spent a week at the “Yellow Cottage” during 2025 HEATWAVE last week in June. Enjoyed its charm, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, and OF COURSE - the VIEW! Hosts were very attentive. We enjoyed the deck when there was a breeze, but as senior citizens - spent many a hot day looking out at the view from inside. The Air conditioner had a tough time keeping up with the heat, but the ceiling fans helped keep things cool. We began every day with watching the sunrise and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The property has some quirks and could use some updating. Ultimately it served are needs and there were all sorts of great things on site like kayaks. The view is what makes the property. There is nothing like watching the sun rise over the beach with your coffee. We had a great time and would recommend this place for a getaway.

This beach house has everything you could possibly want or need for a perfect beach getaway! It’s stocked with tons of games, puzzles, and toys for the kids, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is unbeatable—literally just steps from the beach. We've stayed here twice now and will definitely be back again to make even more family memories. Highly recommend!

What a lovely stay we had here. We stayed with several young children and it was ideal for beach access / ease of use. Right on the beach, easily visualized kids at all times. The home is well appointed with basics and lots of kid / family extras like games and puzzles and some toys. Owners were quick to respond and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

We were looking for a quiet beach getaway and found this gem. Lots of activities in the house and outside exploring opportunities for our family. The kids loved being steps away from the beach. Can’t wait to stay again.

Great for a small family with children. We would book this place again! It's an older property but clean and has every amenitie you could ask for.

My sister and I had a great visit at the yellow cottage. Great location, quiet, right on the water. The kitchen was extremely well stocked as well as information about the area... asasainformation about the area

The location and view are amazing. We had a lot of wind while we were their, but still had a very nice stay. The house was cleen and very well accommodating. The open space of the house while still having separate spaces was very nice. All the extras were very nice also. My family enjoyed a nice bike ride around to see Prime Hook. The beach access is also very convenient. Comunication with property manager was quick and easy. We will definitely be back.

This is my 2nd year staying and it's always excellent and well equipped with everything and anything you need. We will be back again next year!

This was our 3rd time at Prime Hook and this location was by far the best in all aspects...number one being the view from the deck. Was surprised at the amenities we found at the house. Could really just take your clothing, drinks and food and almost everything else was surprisingly there! Would highly recommend Anne & Jim and their wonderful home!

Year after year its the place to get away to catch up on relaxation with the comfort and cleanliness that you can count on!! Not to mention all the perks that come with beautiful scenery of a quiet and peaceful beach!! We have found ourselves returning to this abode for years, as the host are without a question at the top of the tier at providing an exceptional place to be able to enjoy a getaway! I can only recommend to make your getaway as long as you can as it never seems to matter how many nights we have booked it always flys by and never near long enough!!

Fun and enjoyable except for unexpected horseshoe crabs but overall enjoyed

This place was perfect for our family of 4. Our 8 and 10 year olds had a great time on the beach and parents could sit on the deck and supervise. The house is fully stocked with all you need, not a single expired condiment! The view is unbeatable, check in and out was super easy, and close enough to the boardwalk to go, but far enough away that you dont have the crowds. It was clean and well maintained.

A nice well kept older home on a remote beach location. We weren’t sure what to expect with the horseshoe crabs but you could still enjoy the beach.
