This property was well suited to our two dogs and beach combing family.
Property was quiet and secluded with amazing views of the sound. Owners provide all the information you need for the house AND surrounding areas! Beautiful spacious home with lots of views! We would absolutely stay here again!
The view and location were excellent. My friend had a dog who loved walking on the deserted beach every day. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We loved our stay! A gorgeous setting. perfect house for two couples. Lots of lovely spots to read or daydream. Neighbors friendly. Easy drive to trailheads. Otters, seals,, birds out every window. Kitchen needs a sieve, otherwise good. Thankyou hosts!
We were impressed with the interior size and many areas to relax, with awesome views. Also a fenced yard for our dog, right on the beach for dog exercise too. Well appointed kitchen, large dining area and 2 large deck spaces. We're keeping this info for further get aways and only 2 1/2 hours from Renton.
We had a perfectly lovely time here! Views were spectacular and the house was amazing! We ate out on the deck for every meal and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more! And easy access to whale watching and hiking trails nearby! Thank you Candy and Brian!
beutiful view, comfortable,andrelaxing
Had a great time with good view.
Extremely well maintained and appointed home situated on tranquil, beautiful Discovery Bay. A terrific spot for relaxing, enjoying nature exploring the diverse attractions of the Olympic peninsula. The space was well suited for entertaining family who visited during our stay.
A VERY special place to take in the soothing waterfront; beach walks and lapping surf. Many parks in the area as well as historic Port Townsend. Sequim is worth a visit as well. The house is set up for comfort, from many recliners to a super comfy bed. A PLUS place to stay.
Second time in this beautiful home in a magical location. Long relaxing days reading and taking in the water view and cooking meals in a wonderful kitchen. This time it seems like we were being visited regularly by two large and magnificent bald eagles. The weather enabled some great long beach walks as well. When it got stormy and we lost power one night, the owner Candy was super responsive, made sure we were OK, and kept us posted on power company updates. Another great stay and we very much look forward to returning.
Joyful, peaceful, historical. Dog friendly:)
We had a wonderful time! The house is so unique and cool, very spaceous. The holiday lights in the neighborhood make it very festive for the Christmas season. Location is like no other on a quiet dead end road right on the water.
Driving up, you begin to realize that this beautiful home is almost at the end of a minimally traveled dead end gravel road - fronted by the placid waters of Discovery Bay. Sea lions chase schools of fish and herons pose like statues. It is quiet and serene. Then there’s the house - it is literally equipped with everything a couple, two couples, or a large family might need! Sweeping front porches to absorb all that peace, a wonderful family room with a top notch entertainment system, a great kitchen we used extensively - there was even a sauna. Add in a friendly owner who was supportive and flexible and you have a dream come true. Highly recommended!! We can’t wait to return.
This house was definitely the most interesting and awesome one we have rented. Everything in the house was great. This house was built for entertaining, and that's what we did with our friends for two weeks. The owners were helpful and very communicative. The views, every day, were fantastic. Our last night we had a red full moon rising. We would love to stay here again. It's relaxing, peaceful, very private, just perfect.
We had a great stay. The home was so peaceful and relaxing. We loved watching the seals and otters playing in the bay. The only downside was the distance to food and stores but that's a small inconvenience compared to what the house has to offer.
What an absolutely fabulous place to getaway from it all! Spectacular view of the water, quiet, peaceful and the beach just a few steps away! We saw a seal swimming in the water and a juvenile Cooper Hawk hung out one of the hand rails for a bit! Our golden, Freyja was in heaven! Rotating between swimming, sleeping on the deck and playing in the yard. The house was very clean and had everything that we could possibly need. We are already thinking about planning another visit and have recommended this wonderful Beach Oasis to several of our friends.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon! Thanks to Candy and Brian for sharing your home!
Thank you for sharing your lovely beach house! Such a comfortable home to spend a vacation in. Our granddaughters loved it. We did a little beach-combing, and spent a lot of time just staring at the view. The home is well-located for adventures in Olympic National Park, and is close enough to Mt. Rainier for a day trip to the mountain. We spent one whole day just relaxing and watching the tide come in. We would stay here again and longer if we are ever back in the PNW!
What a lovely, relaxing and quiet retreat! We will for sure book again. Everything was there - the kitchen we cooked in daily and is beautiful! Walk out your gate and onto the beach. Watching the birds, Eagles, Seals, Otters playing was a treat! Thank you for sharing!
Very relaxing whether it was sunny or rainy. Such a wonderful place. The furnishing differed from the pictures on the web site but they were in fact better and more comfortable. The owners were a delight to interact with. Our stay was a blessing.
This house was exactly what we were looking for. We loved the location and the view. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and so was all the furniture. Our two little dogs were in heaven in the fenced yard. We would absolutely recommend this house to anyone.
