Overall amazing place. One suggestion is a spare propane tank and some of the fees where not so clear but the owner was on top of it to answer our questions
We all had alot of fun..we never went into frontroom..our whole time was enjoying the deck and on the water. The kitchen was all stocked with all the ware you would need..we bbq we just loved it so much.
Beautiful and calming location.
We had a great time here hanging out with family, enjoying the beach and drinks out on the deck. The owner was very responsive to any issues we had.
Great property, second time we have stayed here. beach could use some upkeep as the old dock is still there from our last stay. And the bbq is on its last leg. Otherwise definitely a great place.
The only reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness is the deck is very cluttered. The property is advertised as having a dock but it is not accessible. Most of beach is unusable with an abandoned wood dock with screws and nails sticking out that make it unsafe for children. Otherwise we enjoyed our time there.
My husband and I own a house about 1 mile from this vacation rental. We rented this place due to the number of family that were gathering after Christmas. My daughter, her husband and 2 children under 2 stayed at this unit. We, however, went back and forth between the houses, so we experienced dinner and games at this house. The house is located on Kootenay Lake, with stunning views of the lake and the snow-capped mountains. The floors are heated, which was appreciated in the 10 degree F weather. The layout was good and the kitchen fully functional. There was a good sized pantry. There was TV. The master bedroom had large sliding doors overlooking the lake. The only downside was there were no curtains or blinds to darken the room, so it was difficult to have the children take naps. Our family found that the railroad tracks immediately to the south of the house made for a great cross-country ski. In the summer, the lake would be a great added benefit. Anyone who books this house should make sure that they stop in Nelson or Creston to fill up on groceries, especially meats, fruits and vegetables. There are a couple of small stores for necessities, but fresh food isn't available. This winter, there is also not an open restaurant within a 1/2 hour drive. That may well be because of Covid and the impact it has had on tourism. So come prepared and enjoy this wonderful home!
The house was great for the 4 of us. Lovely lake views and comfortable.
Loved our family time right on the water. Enjoyed the dock, the house, and the lake!
Property could use some cleaning inside and out. Very little room for parking. Internet no working, called the property owner, he could not help. Called Telus, they were to send out a technician but needed almost 2 weeks . Cancelled it because we were not going to be there. Owner needs to contact them.
