It doesn't get any better! Ocean out the back door. Beautiful marsh views from the front. This home was very comfortable with everything you might need for a great stay. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook for a lot of people. They have books to read, games to play, sand toys for the beach. I would love to stay here again!
It was a great house and location
Our trip was great except the restaurants on Fripp Island require a membership to eat in the restaurant or to take food out! Seems prejudice to me!!!
The property was very nice, and the management company was very attentive!
This house was perfect for us. We liked the split bedroom plan and the two masters. The screened in porch was an added bonus with our smallest family members. And Fripp is perfect for young children. Not too many waves. We all had a great time.
Cannot beat the location of this house on Fripp for a quiet, adventure-filled stay. Our kids loved playing in the tide pools at low tide. The family loved swimming to and exploring Prichard’s Island. At high tide, plenty of waves to play in too. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We would love to come back!
From the moment we pulled up to Pelican Watch, we were blown away. Beautiful landscaping. Fresh paint. Thoughtful decor. Updated kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. *Incredibly* clean. Our family of six (kids 7, 6, 4, and 3) had everything we needed, from a huge fridge to melamine plates, safe and shady screened porch with hook lock doors, pristine linens and quality mattresses, beautiful bathrooms with storage, and even a tub for the littles. The beach was basically arms length away- such a short walk, and no shoes needed thanks to great upkeep! The tide pools were endless on this end of the island, and the kids soaked in the shallow water and chased minnows throughout low tide. Sunrise and sunset were incredible. This trip was a family favorite. We can’t wait to come back!
We loved the very short walk to get on the beach and the stunning views from the indoor and outdoor porches. Being at the end of the island was very nice too and the traffic and crowds were minimal. Definitely a great place to stay.
This was the perfect location and home for our small family gathering. The beach access was great, and everything was very clean. We'd consider it again!
8 women who have been friends for a long time - perfectly appointed kitchen, great bedrooms and bathrooms - very clean; beautifully decorated ..... BUT THE VIEW! You feel like you are IN the ocean - lovely lovely lovely - cant say enough! Great location for privacy - like we had the beach to ourselves. Nature abounds - sea life, deer, birds - truly a paradise vacation at the SC coast!
We have been coming to Fripp for more than 30 years but this was our first time staying on this end of the island, which we deliberately chose based on the way the beach has eroded / shifted over time. We were very pleased with the decision and the direct beach access from the house. At high tide there was hardly any beach but it was great to hear and see the ocean. At low tide, there was amble beach for our family to run around, and it felt very private and secluded compared to the more crowded end of the island. The house was well maintained and very clean. Great layout for families. Another reviewer previously mentioned two issues to be aware of for families with young kids which I would also flag: the front door handles (facing the street) are easily accessible to toddlers, and there is no manual deadbolt or way to secure the doors, which created a safety issue. Not a deal-breaker, just required some extra vigilance or putting a chair in front of the doors. Also there are lots of delicate trinkets on the shelves . . . again, not a problem (and really lovely decorations) but something that needed to be watched throughout the stay even with a relatively calm toddler. The property management team was very responsive and efficient both before and during the stay when we had one question. Overall extremely pleased and would definitely book again for a return visit to Fripp.
