We had an amazing stay. The deck has an amazing view. Private path straight to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. To give an idea of location Rain Forest Cafe was 25 mins away. Easy access to Seawall area. The beach was not crowded we pretty much had it to ourselves.
Great and quiet location which I was looking for. House was wonderful. View was wonderful. Floor didn’t seem to be clean. Sticky and felt unclean. but the rest of the house was perfect. Thank you, Lisa
The fenced areas are awesome for dogs. The balcony is also great. Private access to the beach. House has a small kitchen but has everything needed (dishwasher, microwave, toaster, oven, utensils).
Overall the house and location were nice, but there were some shortcomings. The kitchen tile was cracked and had sharp pieces under our kiddos feet. We used the front door mat to cover the area, which meant we then had no mat to wipe our sandy feet each time we came in. The house only had a single trashbag in the kitchen for our 6 day stay, one roll of paper towels and only 4 forks in the drawer for our family of 5. Just needed a little more attention to detail, but we enjoyed our stay.
This is an older beach home, but is furnished nicely as far as decor. A little cramped for 11 people as far as seating/kitchen space, but the location and ease of walking right on to the beach is awesome. Plenty of parking, and yard is fenced for larger dogs.
My sister and I really liked this property. It was cozy yet it had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 4-5 adults. No issues with plumbing or AC or any other little things we have encountered with other houses we have rented. Fabulous view. The pathway to the beach could use a trim only because I’m afraid of critters but that was minor. Would definitely stay here again!
Had issues with the lockbox, not opening after the 4:00 check in, I called the helpline and had to put in a couple of codes before it worked. The upper exterior could use some updates. When looking from the beach at the house it looks like it needs painting (rust is showing through). The kitchen needs major maintenance. Tile on kitchen floor is all cracked. The refrigerator which is rusted on the front leaked water and the bottom bin on the right side was half full of water, had to dump a couple of times. The cabinet by the sink with pans was moldy smelling and I found a pan that was so badly burnt it should have been discarded. The lights above the stove/refrigerator blink like a bulb is loose. We also had to replace the batteries in the thermostat it kept reading low batteries. Other than these issues we had a great time and loved the beach access .
Beach house came with many amenities plus little things we certainly appreciated. A few toiletries, dish soap, TP, lots of bath towels, extra bedding and blankets, a few outdoor chairs, and some garbage bags. Things that got us started as we acclimated. Coffee maker was great (not kcups-FYI)! Mixing bowls, pots, pans, can opener, dishes, blender, toaster, knives, and small charcoal grill were all available. Beds were newer memory foam and very comfortable. Couch was worn out. Floor in living room is original barn wool-like that has been painted. So mail heads stick up and snag the feet. Be careful if you have littles! Electrical seemed to have some issues, perhaps with washer or dryer running, not sure. We lost power in the front half of the house frequently. I notified maintenance so they could tell the home owners. We LOVED that we could easily walk down to the beach. It was never crowded or busy (April). Parking was easy, literally you pull up to the house and go up. We were about 15 mi from town but worth the the easy drive for the privacy. House still needs some work and updates but definitely a great place to getaway!!! Quiet neighborhood too!
Property is nice. Right on the ocean. We had a great week. Check in process was the pits. Lock didn’t work period. Called and waited on line till the person filling in could respond. Then went in search of the lock boxes that would not open. Got one open and that key didn’t work. Got the second one open and finally got a key that opened the door after multiple tries. The key then proceeded to stay in the door to be wrestled out every time we needed to use it. The electronic lock could have been fixed on the first day so we didn’t have to do this for the entire stay. Pool is MIA no info where to find it or the clubhouse
This property was perfect for a quick relaxing getaway
The deadbolt wouldn’t work. We called customer service (this property is managed by Vacasa who make you use their app for everything). They had us try 2 lockboxes for a key to manually open the door. To open the door you have to pull it, spin the bolt until the key clicks and then the key could be pushed in to turn the bolt. Vacasa told us to just “figure it out” for our stay. The kitchen floor tile was cracked and pieces moved. You had to wear shoes in there for safety. The yard had a bunch of trash, and the toilets would sometimes run for 6-7hs. In the bedroom one of the outlets would pull the blue electrical box out of the wall if you tried to unplug anything. The oven hadn’t been cleaned. I messaged the Vacasa CS about all the issues and never got a reply. At 7am one day we heard men walking around on the property. They began weed-whacking next to my car with the gate wide open. This was dangerous for my dog, and for them. I called Vacasa and demanded assistance. A few hours later the local PM called me and apologized for the trespassers. His only offer for all the issues was to have someone replace the tile. Our trip was almost over, and we didn’t want to not have access to the kitchen for a day (for the tile to cure) we declined the repair. Upon leaving I stripped the bed (as instructed) and discovered a very dirty urine stained mattress protector. I texted the PM the photos of that as well as the safety issues with the outlet, and never heard back.
Great property overshadowed by plumbing and electrical issues. Deck lights only worked for a few nights during our stay. Microwave had to be replaced and shower drain unstopped. Property manager responded quickly and effectively to all issues but was disappointed with the issues to begin with.
Very close to pics online and solidly met expectations. Nice, instant beach access through the private gate just through the fenced-in yard which also included covered parking. Cooked all week long with a small, but decent, kitchen. Good bathrooms with nice showers for a beach house. WiFi was spotty, but weather was heavy rain all week. Would definitely stay here again.
Charming. We loved the beach access. It met our needs - 4 adults + 2 children 9 and 12. We would go back in a heart beat.
Brought my family to this wonderful beach home. It was clean. Close to the beach and hardly anyone in this area. This was the second time renting this home - will be back. Thank you.
