Welcome to Papaya Place by AvantStay! This great 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, Key West condo located at 1800 Atlantic Condominiums offers you a wonderful relaxing garden view overlooking the nature preserve. While the condo does not have an ocean view, the large heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi look right over the Atlantic Ocean.>
The open living area flows from the full kitchen into the dining and living areas which exude an old Key West style. Sliding glass doors open to the balcony and sitting area overlooking the nature preserve.

The primary bedroom has a king size bed and a large en suite full bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a full bathroom across the hall. The balcony runs the full length of the condo with access from both the living room and the second bedroom.

The condo offers free WIFI, 3 flat-screen TVs, a brand new smart TV in the living area and primary bedroom, and expanded cable for those who still want to connect with the rest of the world. The condo looks over the nature preserve while the condo complex is situated on the Atlantic Ocean. There is a shared BBQ area, an Olympic size saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, clay tennis courts, and access to the gym with cardio and weight resistance machines.

Located about 1.5 miles from downtown, just a quick bike ride to downtown Key West shopping, restaurants, and bars. 1800 Atlantic is located right next door to Smather's Beach within walking distance of the condo where you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, and umbrellas.

Key West is the place to visit the lively nightlife and relax in the historic charm, flamboyance, and conch-style architecture that early Bahamian settlers made famous. It embodies a clash of the past and the present, and every building (including this rental) in Key West reflects this eclectic ambiance!

- Please note that this unit is located in one of the oldest complexes in the area, and is not upscale.
- Balcony resurfacing is taking place in sections throughout the building. This work is expected to continue for several months.
- This home has access to a shared pool and hot tub.
- The tennis courts have to be reserved in advance, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Directions on how to reserve are available in your Home Manual.
- This home features a sleeper sofa.
- We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Any reservations 28 days or longer will require additional clean/cleans to be scheduled. Additional payment will be collected and the amount of cleans will depend on the length of your stay.
- All bookings 28 days or longer require a security deposit to be charged after booking.
- The jets in the master bathroom are currently not working. Please do not use the jets and do not operate it as a tub or fill it with water.
- The twin beds can not be converted into a king.
- This home is on a monthly pest control schedule. The area of Key West is home to many insects such as termites, no-see-ums, and mosquitos. Pest control can not eliminate these insects during the swarming season. You may also encounter geckos, lizards, iguanas, frogs, and chickens during your stay in the area.
- Key West is a resort island where renovation of existing historic properties, new construction, and road repair sometimes occur without forewarning. AvantStay is not liable for any guest inconveniences caused due to construction in the area.
- Please note that max occupancy includes infants.
- Please be advised that documentation may be necessary for ESA/service animals to gain entry.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    The unit was clean and spacious. They do have an ant problem. I would never stay here again though. The check in-check out process is a nightmare! You have to go to the management office to get the keys. The management office is 1.5 miles from the unit. So that’s 2 Uber rides each time. I tried to contact the management to see if my sister who was arriving earlier could pick up keys and they said that they would get back to me and never did. We spoke with other renters down at the pool who didn’t have to pick up keys from another location. We are very unhappy about it! Now I know what questions to ask before I book another stay somewhere else

    There are some things that were great about this place and some things that were terrible. Overall, the pool is lovely and the location is good. Close but not so close to the center of town. However the condo itself while clean is very shabby. The tile shows its age, the master tub is gross and looks dirty, and the carpet in the master seems new and also has stains. The condo feels clean just really showing some wear and tear that just make you not feel great about the monwy you are spending. Its not For the price, its not worth it.

    The host was very welcoming. They checked in a number if times to see if we needed anything, gave great suggestions on places to eat, attractions, night life, etc. The place was very clean, comfortably, and had pretty much everything needed.When I had any questions, they responded rather quickly.

    The beds were very comfortable and the huge couch was the best. Property had everything we needed. Large pool and deck, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Close to beach and easy walk to restaurants. Duval street and local attractions easily accessible with golf cart rental.

    The worst part of the whole trip was checking in on the first night. The information packet we received had a lot of information in it but unfortunately the code for getting access to the building where our keys were kept didn't work as indicated in the packet. I happened to be there when others were coming out so they could let me in. Once I had my room keys, everything was smooth sailing for the rest of the trip. We did have the AC go out while we were there but our rep was VERY responsive and got our AC fixed the very next day. Whenever we had a question, our rep was very responsive and communicative. The unit was a bit dated but it worked for what we needed. I would definitely use AvantStay again but probably not that building. There were too many rules regarding the pool so we never used it.

    Rooms were fine - odd layout and the wall of mirrors not only in the living room and bedroom could really be redone as its a bit creepy to constantly seeing a reflection practically everywhere. Master bathroom has a large square step down hot tub that didn't work and looked like it had been there for 20 years. An update to the rooms really is needed. However it was decent and reasonably located to Duval but a bit too much to walk (1.5 miles each way). No beach access - even had a sign that indicated sand had glass and debris in it so basically was off limits. Nice pool area but that's not what we were there for.
