My friends and I loved this house! There was a literary theme throughout and we were all so impressed by the books on display. The beds were comfortable and the dining table was so large! The only thing I didn’t realize was that the bunk beds and pull out couch were in the same room, but it worked out just fine for us. The backyard space is quite lovely, too. Our host was very responsive and helpful, and the house was set up with just about everything we needed. My only very minor trouble spot was that since there were 6 of us there for 4 days, we generated too much garbage (pizza boxes take up a lot of space!) for the small can in the kitchen and had to stack everything next to it. But that should not be a deterrent for booking this wonderful space! I would absolutely stay here again!
We stayed here as it was in close proximity to our daughter who lives in Marblehead. The location was perfect for back-and-forth trips to her house. The convenience of the deli and liquor stores across the street was also helpful. Additionally, this is one of the most beautifully decorated VRBO's house my family and I have stayed in, as the owners have great taste and the high-quality interior design had us feeling like it was a hotel. The kitchen was a great layout and easy to cook in. The back patio was a beautiful oasis, complete with a grill and ample seating for those looking to hang out together outside. Also, the owners were very communicative leading up to and during our stay with any questions or concerns. However, there were a few fixable, issues with this rental. - Unfortunately, there was an ant problem. There are many anthills in the yard and patio out back, and ants were all over the interior; The listing is a bit misleading: It says three bedrooms, but note that the third “bedroom” is a sunroom off the main living space with a twin bunk bed and small couch; The second bedroom upstairs has no blinds or curtains and it made staying in this room uncomfortable due to lack of privacy due to being next to neighbors and that the sun would stream in super early morning; While no central AC is super common in New England with older homes in the area, it’s worth noting for those planning to visit in the hot summer months AC only exist in the two upstairs bedroom.
