Beach Retreat 25-Steps to the Sand! Beach & Islands Views! Spa. Pierpont Ventura

Despite an intimidating contract that initially put me off, we thoroughly enjoyed the Povar beach house. There are many rules to follow that serve to protect the house and satisfy the neighbors. We complied and actually booked an extra night. The manager was very accommodating and agreed to a late check out. Our dogs were welcome and easy to walk on tkt beach. The house is fully loaded. A bit out dated but very comfortable and clean. Kitchen is big w ocean views and lovely to cook in. We enjoyed the Sat farmers market on Main St (closed at noon!) and Beach House tacos for lunch. Highly recommend this property but don’t it to be too popular so we can book again!

Michelle was fantastic. Great communication and easy entry, especially because we weren’t going to arrive until after midnight. This house is practically on the beach. Sand is 25 ft from the front of the property. The weather was terrible (torrential downpours and cold), and yet… we loved being right next to the beach. Nice sheets, beautiful towels (that’s big deal to my family) and a fully stocked house w/everything you need… Just bring food and wine!! We will be back!!

We had a great time. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Plenty of room for people to hang out, excellent views of the ocean. Host very friendly and accommodating. The whole family really enjoyed our stay.

The stay was lovely. It felt like being in a family beach house that was filled with love. The host was very attentive and quick to respond. The house was immaculate.

The location to the sand and water is excellent. The views from the balcony off the kitchen/family room are amazing and beautiful! The property has a good layout and a lot of space so the family can spread out or be together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave.

We had a wonderful week at this property. The views of the ocean from the main floor, balcony, and roof top deck were excellent. Access to the beach just steps away was wonderful. We were close enough to walk to restaurants, donut shop, starbucks, frozen yogurt making its location ideal. Only one negative to this property...the short steep driveway and narrow street makes access in and out tricky.

What a great location - we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. House was very clean and laid out well. Loved the library and the outdoor area.

The property is just steps away from the ocean and has views from many of the windows. The location allowed us to walk on the beach or a short walk on the streets to the hiking/biking path. We even walked to Downtown Ventura which has a great Farmer's Market on Saturdays.The house also allows parking in the driveway and in the garage which was very helpful with family driving from all over. We really enjoyed our stay

If your goal is to visit with family AND be able to relax on the beach, this is your place! The property owner was super sweet and the check in process could not have been easier. The property, itself, was clean and spacious and everything I hoped it would be.

The Vacation rental had everything we needed and more. The Spa was beautiful and the backyard had upgraded outside furniture. The rooms downstairs were perfect for our older kids. There was a great attention to detail in this house - the beds/pillows/comforters were very comfortable and the furnishings were well coordinated, a definite plus! Overall a lovely stay and would stay again.

Prime Beachfront Location! If you want to be just steps away from the sand, this is the perfect destination. Waking up to a lovely view every morning and enjoying breakfast was such a pleasure. The property was exactly as described on VRBO. We highly recommend it!
