We booked this property for my daughter’s 14th birthday getaway. We had two cars full of teen girls and enough bags to stay a week even though we only booked for a single night. Once we arrived to the property we found out it was already rented out. Mistakes happen and renting properties on multiple sites with multiple people overseeing them, things like this are bound to happen. Although it took an hour to respond after I let them know what had happened, we were so nervous that the trip was going to be ruined. However Russell came through with another rental close by and it turned out to be even better than this one. The girls loved the house and we had an amazing time. We will definitely be back and appreciate fixing the problem as quick and efficiently as they did.
Upon arrival, we noticed that the property was not, in fact right in front of the water. And not only that but there was a transformer right in front of the house. Upon walking to the front door the immediate left window was out and was covered by a box and some duct tape. This is an absolute safety hazard and completely voids the use of a key to the front door. I was unimpressed with the lack of safety allotted. Next, the remote to the tv was not working. It was brought to my attention that we were told we could use an app on our phone to use the tv, and I think that is absolutely unacceptable. Provide new batteries or a new remote and fix the problem, especially because not everyone uses smart phones. Another thing, throughout the house, there were a lot of broken fixtures. There was a broken drawer in the bathroom, broken drywall in the bathroom. The master bedroom bed is sitting on 2x4 and has been rigged and Not rigged well, it sinks in the center of the bed and makes it feel like you’re in a hole every time you try to get out of it. The chairs in the dining room were questionable and so were some on the front porch. Overall, for the amount of money spent, these should have been taken care of. Especially the front window. The rest of it could’ve been easier to see past, but the fact that the front window was MISSING is unacceptable.
