Morro Bay, California
This beautiful beach cottage is located but 2 blocks to the beach! Tucked away on a quiet street in the Beach Track Subdivision this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is the perfect location for your next beach getaway in Morro Bay. The home has a nice living room with two twin beds and flat screen TV which allows for a gathering place for family and friends. The home has a fully equipped eat in kitchen allowing you to cook all your meals at home instead of going out to eat. The first bedroom is located off the living room area and has One Queen bed. The Master bedroom is at the rear of the property with a king size bed and on suite bathroom. The home features a private backyard with a spacious patio and gas BBQ. You will also find an attached garage, off street parking and laundry services. This home is ready to accommodate you on your next vacation!
Firstly, the property manager was great. Had two separate issues that required attention, both quickly resolved. Don’t believe the photos that show a fireplace, it doesn’t work, nether does the ice maker/water dispenser shown. While unloading the car, found an old fuzz covered zip tie under the kitchen table, lots of crumbs in a cupboard, back yard needs care, nice washer/dryer though
This little house is just right for family. It is in good condition, but not so refined that there is fear of relaxing. Even though it is small, it has a very good layout. Each area is spacious. There is a convenient hose in the back yard to wash off beach sand. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and plan to book it again. It could use a woman's touch to change out some of the kitchen utensils.
Very quiet neighborhood and access to the beach is just around the corner! The home was comfortable. The owner was very quick to respond to a question about the internet. We enjoyed ourselves!
We enjoyed our stay on Gilbert St. In Morro Bay. We were there for a quick weekend wedding in Cayucos. Slept 6 of us well. The pics of home are accurate. The decor & home is older, but clean. The neighborhood felt very safe. The beds in bedrooms we’re comfortable & nice bedding. The 2 twin beds are at the far side of the living room, but in the living room. Worked out fine for us. Kitchen had everything we needed. 5 min. walk to the beach. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The 4 beds were comfortable, the bedrooms, living room, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean, and all of the necessities for our stay were in the home. It could use some updating of decor and linens and some attention to the spiderwebs inside and outside, but overall the house met our needs and we enjoyed our stay. The refrigerator should be looked at because it makes a clicking noise that you can hear in the master bedroom while trying to sleep.
The overall stay was nice. The garage door was broken upon arrival and the management company was available to take my call, but couldn’t come out to repair which was an inconvenience to close manually all weekend when we needed the extra room in the driveway. (Property has a short driveway). One of the neighbors parks in front of the rental so you lose that parking also (little blue car). We also had a sand issue upon check in. The front room (living room) bed near the window had sand all over the comforter). We took the comforter outside and cleaned it off. The cleanliness over all of the house was good. The decor was okay but seemed like it was a lot of Mia-marched items from Goodwill and thrift stores. The backyard could use some tree trimming and cleaning up if you wanted to use it for little kids or something. There is a small patio covering that didn’t have a cover anymore, but the 2 x 4 beam is low enough to hit your head on it. (Ask me how I know). For the location and quietness of the neighborhood, I guess it was a decent price? Personally between a hotel room and VRBO. I’ll probably stick with a hotel. Hotels are consistent on what will be available in the room where as the VRBOs are hit or miss? (I.e. I know a hotel will always have an iron and ironing board….VRBO’s not so much.)
Nice simple place to stay. The walk to the beach was super short and wonderful. Walked up and down the beach picking up sand dollars. Short drive to main town for dinner.
My family and I had a great visit to the central coast. This house is in a quiet neighborhood just a block from the beach. Property is exactly as advertised. Beds are very comfortable and the house had everything you need to relax and enjoy some down time!
The location of this house is ideal for accessing the Morro Strand beach with a 5 and almost 2 year old. The house is older but very clean and comfortable. The tiny yard is a nice place to relax but could use more comfortable furniture. The patio furniture, one lounge and a large metal table and chairs, was covered in spider webs so wasn’t very inviting without some cleaning up. The front door wasn’t closed all the way when we arrived so we had to do a serial killer check before we could settle in, but all was well. We enjoyed this house and our escape from the 115 degree temps.
The property was everything that it was advertised to be. The house was clean but I do suggest that they have cleaning people hit the corners of every room in the house to remove cobwebs. Besides that, our vacation went as planned and we enjoyed staying at the old school bungalow. The neighborhood was quiet and the home provided the comfort we needed for our trip. The property is not modernized but it had all the amenities needed to have a restful & joyful experience while in Morro Bay. There is no air conditioner but one was not needed. The temperature was mild during our weekend and opening all the windows in the house usually cooled it down within 10-15 mins. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
It’s so close to the beach. They communicated very well and so responsive.
Our group (me and four young adults from Europe) really enjoyed the stay at this property. Everything was as expected and we enjoyed going to the beach every day. We will be back!
Overall good house to stay in! It’s a tad older, but clean.
Perfect for two sisters and their girls. The teens got to bond and the moms had their own quiet quarters. The walk to the beach was easy and beautiful. It did take a long time to get hot water though…..wasting water not good.
Property was clean and conveniently located near the beach. We had a blast. We would definitely stay again!!
Great space! We have a 5 year old and 2 year old twins, plenty of room! We especially loved that the house is not filled with a bunch of knickknacks and breakable objects! We could hear the waves crash at night and the beds were comfy with lots of pillows! We will be back!
This was the perfect beach cottage for our stay in Morro Bay: a clean, cute, and comfortable home that is a super-short walk to the beach! We will definitely stay here again.
Pleasant
This home is dated but located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. One of the bathrooms had a broken toilet seat which was a hazard and a moldy shower curtain. The master bath shower and sink didn’t drain well. Communication with the management company was great and I feel that if this home is given some TLC, it would be a great vacation rental.
Property managers were responsive
It was a cute house with all the necessities. It is walking distance to a nice beach. The neighborhood is quiet and there was enough beds for all of 5 of us. One surprise was that the front room also acts as a bedroom with two beds. The house is not modern, but everything works and we had a great time. We would definitely stay here again, but probably bring paper plates, so that I don't have to do dishes on my vacation. Happy Travels!
