Beach Haven West -SPECTACULAR Vacation Home

Lovely well kept home. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. Bathrooms were clean and modern. Pool was a plus.

Was just as described. Had to go thru the single bed room to get to back bedroom but we were fine with it! The shower door fell off the runner but again we had three other showers. Stuff happens right? The pool was the cats meow to my 7 Grandkids. The parking at the beach on the side road was a piece of cake and I was a worried about finding a place to park. We had a great house and a wonderful vacation. Went to lighthouse, mini golf, shopping, fantasy island rides, and ice cream parlor. Lots to do or just sit at the pool and relax.

We loved the home it was big enough for our large family with room to spare. The pool was a big hit for our group and the great weather helped. We had ample parking and the home was clean the beds comfortable. Could not ask for more!

One thing that you everyone must know is that the location is amazing and the pool is the best. The outdoor space is beautiful with the boats going past and the retractable awning made the deck cool and comfortable. There was also a lovely breeze being right on the bay. A few things in the house broke but a quick text to the property owners and it was fixed. The house is spacious with plenty of comfortable bedrooms. A few things to note: you have to walk through the bedroom with twin beds to get to the bedroom with the 3 beds. The queen bed on the main level is a pull out sofa. We also never got the TV’s to work but it was also nice not watching TV and having family quality time at the pool or around the fire pit. (Note: bring your own firewood and make sure to have lighter fluid. It a bit windy so you need it to get the fire lit) The shed had tons of pool toys for the kids, the fenced in backyard was perfect for the dogs. Such a great location that we all agreed to come back as soon as we can!

Pool and backyard was wonderful View was terrific We are grateful that the weather was excellent so we spent as little time as possible inside where it was very small and outdated and didn’t adequately accommodate our large party of 11. TV didn’t work at all and not every bedroom had one. Kitchen very small. 3 bedrooms upstairs with only one bathroom. Water faucets mislabeled hot and cold. Hard to get cold water out of them. Good family vacation but facility needs serious updating.

When we booked the property, we had not seen it in person, and we were a little shocked upon checking in. My family over the week began referring to this house as the 50/50 cause either 50% of things in the house worked, 50% of the cleaning was done, or 50% of the house was what we enjoyed and expected for $800 PER night. The good/bad/ugly: The outside is beautiful, and on a cul-de-sac. There is a large deck with retractable awning, big grassy area and a big in the ground salt water pool, but its not heated. The 1st floor was renovated and has W/D, CAC and EIK (with fly traps hanging). There is 1 large CAC vent return that is very loud so that bedroom/pullout couldn't be used. (Vent was very dirty till I cleaned it). Upstairs bathroom was spacious for 3 bedrooms, the bdrm over the garage carpet is dirty. The CAC doesn't go upstairs, so there are small window units, and the rooms can get very hot. You have to supply your own linens, towels, pillows and blankets ( I would bring your own mattress pads as the ones on the bed are stained and I wound up washing them). Some lights work, some don't, the internet works, but slow. Living/family room is nice and spent most of our time there when in the house. TV is large and audio system throughout the house works. Upon arriving on Sat, there is a welcome check list & you're to go onto their computer, but they don't give you the password, I copied and emailed the woman (Debbie) who I had been speaking with, but never heard from the owner(Robert). There were a few things I noted not being clean or working thus far. Sunday, I emailed some other issues (vaccuum not working, bathroom had a foul smell, grill was not clean), still no word) Tuesday I texted all 3 numbers to inquire and finally received a response from about the beach badges but no mention of all of the other things I pointed out, which I annoyed me. We wound up fixing the vaccuum that was broken, scrubbed the bathroom to get rid of the old urine smell, cleaned the HVAC return, pulled toys and debris from pool filters, & washed all of the mattress pads we used. If you want a party house with 6 cars in the driveway (as I was told about the previous weeks renters), it's fine, but for a family, we can do better. For the same amt of $$$, we rented a house ON the beach IN LBI I guess I was silly to expect a gesture of good will, or at least an apology. We learned our lesson & won't ever rent a house without being seen in person.

Our family has been coming to LBI/West Beach Haven for over 35 years. Our family now consists of our 2 sons and their wives and our 3 grandchildren. This home is the best house that we have rented for our family vacations down the shore. The property was clean and well kept. The pool was big and spacious and since we were blessed with the most beautiful weather of the summer, most of our time was spent in that pool! The deck was spacious and so convenient to the kitchen and master bedroom. The retractable awning over the deck was a life saver since there were some very sunny, hot days. Our children and the grandchildren had plenty of rooms for sleeping. My husband had reconstructive surgery on his foot and is unable to bear weight on his right foot at this time , so for him to be able to get in the house with only 3 steps and to have the deck so accessible was all we could hope for (believe me, the only goal he had going into surgery, was to be able to go to the shore with the family). We brought with us, crab traps and fishing poles. The grandkids had a blast crabbing! They asked several times an hour if they could check the crab traps! Our children and grandchildren, as well as my husband and me, are already looking forward to returning to this wonderful place next summer. Thank you, Jim and Betsy Issler

House had plenty of kitchen items, not enough chairs for eating since the house holds at least 12 people. I know you pay for linens but there was no blankets and only 4 pillows for 9 beds🤔 Overall it was great, the things above are minor, we are looking to go next year for 2 weeks👍

House accomodated our extended family very comfortably. Adults and kids alike enjoyed having a great in ground pool to cool off in every day. My sister in law, who is in a wheelchair, had a blast hanging out on deck and participating in all of the family activities. I look forward to coming back next year.
