Absolutely wonderful views from the front deck with a gate to keep kids and dogs in. The house was very clean when we arrived. Great communication with the hosts even on the Easter holiday. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything you need. Grandkids appreciated the beach toys located under the house.This was a great visit for a family holiday. We really appreciated that it was pet friendly so we could bring our Goldendoodles. We hope to return next year.

This was the perfect spot. Close to the beach. It had everything we needed and the host were very responsive. They suggested places to eat and shop which was helpful when not knowing the area. I'd for sure stay here again.

We had a wonderful time! The house is super comfortable & clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only downside was that we couldn’t stay longer!

Cathy & Eric were wonderful. Able to reach them any time. House was very comfortable. Do to fact there is no place to eat for 27 miles it would be nice to know that in advance along with a pot or two included in kitchen. All in all it was very nice.

This home is perfect for anyone wanting stunning views and enough room to really enjoy the time with family. Plants of beds and space to move about and still feel comfy. I would however say that it was evident it was pet friendly, as there was white pet hair on all of clothing and we had to be careful about it accumulating in balls that would roll across the floor every time the door was opened and the wind came in. There is also no place to put your clothing as there are no dressers in any of the rooms. We were left to place our clothing in stacks along the bedroom walls and again the pet hair would be on it. Other than that this home is perfect in every way and if you want a top of the line rental this is it.

We loved staying here so much! It was clean and had everything we needed, but more than that, the views cannot be beat!!!!

The house was very clean and in an amazing quiet location, we enjoyed our weekend!!! The only criticism, glad we had no kids with us because 1 TV would not have worked!!!!!!

Love that the beach is literally steps away and there’s not a large dune obstructing foot access or views. Makes it so nice that our grandchildren can easily run up to the house to eat, restroom or nap and not have to pack up and drive. The house is clean, tidy and has plenty of room.

We loved our stay. Eric & Cathy are terrific hosts. We forgot some clothes and they got them back to us. House is right on the beach! The only caveat is that the winds were up (25-30) when we were there & the house rocked us to sleep. If you are prone to motion sickness, be prepared. We had no issues & hope to rent again!

Great house great area

My two sisters & myself had a wonderful stay at Sea La Vie & will recommend it to friends & other family members. House is clean with very comfortable beds & sheets! Towels were very soft & nice! Over all a very nice place to stay.

My sister and I enjoyed the location, not too far from grocery and ferry but also not crowded. The tall chairs on the deck were perfect for ocean viewing. Place was clean. Windows didn’t like to open and no screens when they would. Overall a Good find :)

We really enjoyed our stay. The rental was close to a lot of great birding sites and we loved our ocean view each day. We especially appreciated the purple martin house in front of the rental. We were glad that we read other reviews that recommended buying groceries before arriving as groceries and restaurants are limited in the area.

We had a great stay! beautiful views of sunrise. Everything was clean and exactly as it was described. The beach was full of seashells and different treasures to look for the kids and the dogs absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back.

The house was amazing and literally walk out onto the beach. WE traveled with 2 adults and 4 kids (ages 4-17) and everyone found something they enjoyed from playing on the beach, in the water, or just laying on the sand. Plenty of sleeping room for everyone and what we needed to cook (though let's be honest we went out to eat a lot to). The owner's were some of the best to work with. Very accommodating and kind. Would HIGHLY recommend this house to rent and we would rent it again.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The house was perfectly stocked with all the essentials. Beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our family of five. It was a quiet and peaceful location that allowed our family to play board games, work on puzzles, bbq, and take nice walks on the beach. Love that it was clean while being pet friendly! Hostess was great, and answered questions clearly and quickly. We had such a memorable, and well-needed vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It was attractive, clean, and well furnished. Its proximity to the beach is second to none. That being said, there are a couple of things to be aware of, none of which necessarily detracted from my stay.1. It is about 40-60 minutes from Galveston and requires a free ferry crossing. I thoroughly enjoyed the ferry. I'd recommend getting out of your car and going inside it to view from the upper deck. The dolphins are very cool to watch.2. If you have severe vertigo, be aware this home is on pilings. This is 100% normal for the area. In heavy winds or if you have a heavy footed person, the house does sway a bit. It didn't bother me, but its just something to be aware of. All homes in this area do this as it is a flood prone area and all are on pilings.3. Go to Mardi Gras!4. There are very, very few places close to the VRBO to shop for necessities at. There is family dollar up the road, but I'd recommend getting everything you need on your way to the house.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience and we are so grateful we found this place!!!! Definitely want to return!

Stayed with Wife, a 4 and 8 y/o, my parents and mother in law, and 1 dog as well Right on the beach! Lots of shells 🐚 to look through, house was cozy and felt secluded without being too far away from everything, house was clean, great spot great price

First property was great but a cleaning schedule mishap did not have ready at check in time. Host had another property open and got us there in no time. When you can overcome an issue and satisfy the customer you are getting it done! Thanks so much for a great few days on the beach!

We loved how quiet this end of the peninsula is even on the weekend. We didn't have to worry about traffic on the beach and our grandchildren playing. The house was extremely cleaned and well stocked with linens and kitchen equipment We loved our stay

A hop, skip, and a jump to the Gulf of Mexico. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the spacious porch overlooking the beach and water. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you for a great place to stay!!!!

Location, Location, Location! We had an awesome time at this house. It’s right on the beach that wasn’t crowded and 10min drive to the Big Store. Easy checking

Cathy was wonderful! She communicated with us after the storm and helped us feel at ease. The house was perfect and right on the beach. There are very few houses in the area. Felt like a private beach most of the time. There was some debris after the hurricane that can be expected, but there were some amazing shell finds! The house was perfect for our family of 6 and there was room to sleep 2-3 more comfortably! This was our first time being right on the beach and it was such a great experience- we could go up and down to the beach at our leisure. We brought most of our groceries and hit the Big Store (10 min drive) for necessities. We cooked every meal at the house and spent all week at the beach. Drove 20 minutes one afternoon to take the ferry to Galveston and visited the Strand for a little shopping. Definitely recommend the ferry. Pro-tip:bring some nice clothes that coordinate and take some family pics at the beach!
