Beach Front Arts & Crafts House With Gorgeous Views Of The Sound

Second year staying at this property for a reunion of 10 college friends- the house is amazing, loved the porch and beach, beautiful gardens in back, plenty of parking off-street. We did lots of cooking- great to have 2dishwashers, plus eat-in kitchen and nice big dining room. One slight drawback-3rd floor bedrooms (the 2 rooms w/twin beds) can be a bit warm as AC unit is just at 1 end of the floor, doesn’t go directly into the 2 bedrooms. All other bedrooms on 2nd floor were comfortable.

We love this house. This is the second time we have stayed there. Everything is very comfortable & convenient. The views are wonderful.

Great house and host. We recommend.

The location of this house was perfect; right in front of the inlet/beach. The host was extremely responsive to questions before check-in, and during our stay, her assistant was also very helpful. The reason for not giving a 5 overall is that there were several inconveniences that I communicated with the owner about during and after our stay. For example, the outdoor shower did not work. I'm confident that this and the other inconveniences will be addressed. With this level of confidence, I would recommend this property.

We loved our time at this special house! Visiting in mid-May, we got to enjoy all the flowering shrubs and plants in the beautifully-landscaped yard. The setting was quiet, the neighborhood very pleasantly walkable, and the views lovely. Favorite parts of the house itself were the porch areas, the eating nook in the kitchen, and the spacious bedrooms on the second floor. The bedrooms on the third floor were smaller, with less room to spread out, but still charming. We found the second floor study, with its unusually shaped desk, perfect for several people to work on a jigsaw puzzle together. One person in our party uses a wheelchair, and the elevator filled a critical need for her, as did the handicap accessible bathroom off Bedroom #4, the step-free entrance through the kitchen, and step-free access to the porches. Overall, a great stay!

Excellent property and excellent host. We had a couple of small issues but were corrected in a day. I highly recommend this property for a number of reasons. Location, spacious and lots of things to do.

This is a gorgeous home. We really loved having our family being with us, enjoying meals in the gorgeous dining room and later, playing a variety of games around the fireplace. Another wonderful feature of the home was the ocean view from many of the rooms. Our grandchildren especially loved the opportunity to play ping pong for hours on end. My wife is an artist and she really appreciated looking at the beautiful paintings and prints throughout the house.

Spectacular . A stay in this home is like sleeping in a museum . The view is second to none . Unbelievable.

This beautiful home and its location on the water were perfect for our annual reunion of high school friends. Ample seating within the various rooms encouraged both large and small groupings. Our October stay was cozy; summer is surely delightful. Several of us have mentioned that we would love to return!

Amazing house and location! We stayed there for a wedding that was in New Haven and the place was perfect. All of the rooms were comfortable and the view was stunning

This house was amazing! We had 12 people for 2 nights and the space was more than accomodating. Every room was spacious and clean with lots of amenities. Plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. The bathrooms were clean and updated. The architecture is beautiful and the location across from the beach was perfect.

The property is a gem! Beautiful Arts & Crafts woodwork!Nicely appointed and yet comfortable. Kitchen is large and could accomodate all of us gathered at once. Coffee on the front veranda overlooking the water made for a perfect setting. The neighbors and dogs strolling by the made us feel welcome too.

Wonderful stay in a nice quiet neighborhood

This house was absolutely charming ! There was so many additions that every time we looked we found hidden gems all over the house -inside and out ! Across the street was the beach which is rocky so wear water shoes if your feet are sensitive. Had a fun time sitting in the porch area and people watching.

Great vacation with a wonderful hostess. Met our needs and was quick to communicate with any questions or concerns. Beautiful home. Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Fantastic all around!

The house is beautiful, and one of the most unique and homey places we have everything stayed. Very spacious with lots of artwork, and arts and crafts style woodwork. The view of the sound is so serene. We enjoyed very much sitting out on the porch and gazing at the water and the passerbys, and taking walks along the sound. It has everything you need and then some. Thank you so much for sharing your gracious and beautiful home with us!

We had a magical stay in this truly enchanting home the beds were comfortable. The kitchen well equipt for entertaining a large crowd. The fire place and piano were the backdrop for many intimate moments. The gardens were beautiful with azaleas and many perennials. The location directly across from the beach allowed for many walks and playtime together and the waves sung us to sleep at night. We would love to make a new family tradition for visiting here again and again.

The Arts and Crafts home was more beautiful than the pictures reflected! We loved all of the details in the woodwork, hidden little corners, tons of space to spread out and wonderful places to gather together. Having recently sold our family home we were thrilled to find this home in which to have a mini- family reunion. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked- from serving platters to garlic powder to paper towels...We had everything we needed. The gas fireplace created a beautiful focal point and the kids enjoyed all the games (especially Connect Four and Jenga).We all loved staying at the Art and Crafts home in Milford- it was a unanimous decision to try to come back next year!!

Knitting weekend for 9 women ….. house, location and weather was wonderful!

We had a great stay at this home. It was wonderful and quirky in the way all 100+ year old homes can be. Lots of space for all of us. We were a big group from 3 to 83 years old. The porch was our favorite spot watching the water and all the neighbors who walked by, many stopping to chat. Shared great meals in the large dining room and even had a ping pong tournament. Loved that the outdoor shower has a hot water setting. Just loved it.

Beautiful historic home, views of the Sound, pleasant walking neighborhood.

Had a quick work trip and wish we stayed longer!
