Beach Blessing - Southern Shores, 225 to Beach Access, Quiet Area, Hot Tub, Pets OK, Flex Stays

We loved this house and the neighborhood. Close enough to walk to the beach, but also helpful that there were parking passes available for beach access. We would stay here again.

Loved every moment of our stay. We plan on returning next year. Big, clean house. Relaxing hot tub. Walking distance to the beach. What could be better?

There were so many things to do such as ping pong, hot tub, horse shoes, corn hole and a jacuzzi. We spent early in the morning on the decks with coffee and reading until everyone was up. It was a quick walk to the beach. We also liked the trails for the ones of us loving to go walking. Great place!

We rented this house so we could be close to our family renting a house 7 minutes up the road. This house was a perfection location as it was a short walk to the beach and close to shops and restaurants in Southern Shores. We were able to bring our dog which was also a plus for us. The home was not only pet friendly but people friendly as it had everything we needed for our stay. The rooms were large as well as all the common areas. The beds were SUPER comfortable and every one in our group was raving about the restful sleep we got. After the first night we had already decided to book again for the following year!

There were a few things broken, and the cleanliness was not wonderful. Our rental was actually ready early, and we would have preferred to wait until six if it meant a better cleaning by housekeeping. It was also strange to check in and out without speaking to anyone. It worked, but was new to us. Overall, the property was great, cleaning needed to be improved, and some amenities either need cleaning or to be properly fixed. We would stay here again.

Also, proximity to the beach (direct path from right next door) was fantastic. Less than 10 minute walk to the sand!

Having 14 people to feed for a week made great use of both refrigerators. It was a short walk to the ocean. A short drive to both Duck shops and the grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the coastal/modern farmhouse decor. Wish the cleaning crew would have paid a little more attention to the dog hair on couch/pillows and the baseboards. Also, when we rented (early Aug), the horseshoe pit was overgrown as was most of the yard. The outside showers weren't working, but there were plenty of showers inside. The location is awesome - close to beach and being in Southern Shores, you don't have as much traffic as other shore points.

The main downfall would have been that we weren't given a welcome bag with soap and other necessities on arrival. There were parts of the deck that should not be used barefoot...well, most of it. Everything was as described. The house was very clean. There were no signs of water damage or poor craftsmanship. Everything was in working order! The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed walking to and from the quiet beach. There were rarely many people at the beach even though we were visiting over Father's Day. The beds were comfortable. The window coverings were adequate, but I wouldn't describe them as total blackout curtains. Our family members used the hot tub a few times. They said it was clean and relaxing. A few ticks were discovered by adults that hadn't been out in the brush, but just the driveway. In general, it wasn't extremely buggy. Keep in mind, there is a pond/drainage in the lot next door. The kids loved the foosball table, ping pong and the fire pit. The large couch in the main room was great for seating everyone. Would stay here again!
