WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THE LOCATION
Walking trails are everywhere and this home is just steps away from Lake Macatawa and Holland State Park. Also very near to Tunnel Park if seeking a quieter beach setting. Family dining and lakefront bar within walking distance as well. And visit downtown Holland a few times during your stay as well for a multitude of choices for food and entertainment.
Property was wonderful and was in a great location. More than enough space for us and the 2 car attached garage in the winter was an added bonus since we were there in the winter. The two fireplaces helped create a very warm and holiday atmosphere. When we arrived there were some festive holiday decorations which was quite unexpected and appreciated! Overall a beautiful home and we would definitely stay there again!
The house was exactly as described, yet actually better in person. This is a wonderfully spacious and lovely furnished property in an excellent neighborhood. It is very convenient to everything the area has to offer, including walking or biking to the beach, or day excursions to the beautiful lakeshore towns on Michigan’s west coast.. The well stocked kitchen made this home chef happy and there is room for the whole family to gather for meals. This is a house that lives large, even if all the bedrooms were full; and the host has provided thoughtful activities for rainy days. I have just returned from a month long retreat at this wonderful property. I never once missed my personal home, and I was actually sad to have to leave. The host responded immediately to questions and made me feel like family. I will definitely make this home my first choice for future stays in this region of Lake Michigan. The house and the host have set a high bar for my future rentals..
My Wife and we’re in dire need to disconnect from the day to days stressors over the past several years and getaway. This home and area around it was the much needed answer to our desire. It is in a relatively new neighborhood ,is in perfect condition and shows even better than the pictures. It has all the amenities anyone would need to experience a fun, relaxing stay. Even though it was just the two of us, the house can accommodate even a large family. It is impeccably maintained. Our stay was a week at the end of September to early October and it was a little chilly weather, perfect fireplace weather to take the chill out of the air and add a little more ambience. The house has two fireplaces, a gas one on the first floor and an electric in the lower lever. Upon attempting to light the gas fireplace, we encountered a problem with it and were unable to ignite it. I called Jeff, the owner and advised him of the situation. Jeff advised me that his Parents live only minutes away and assists Jeff with watching over the house and he immediately texted his Father and even included me on the text. His Father, Cal called me and advised he would come over to see if he can be of assistance. Cal came and we both attempted to figure out the problem unsuccessfully. He called a fireplace repair contractor that he knows who immediately came out and made the necessary repairs. The cause was a faulty thermocouple and once installed it worked perfectly. That kind of attention and immediate response is seldom seen. We couldn’t be happier. After that we became friends with Cal & his Wife Ann. We were even invited to go sightseeing in a very special and memorable way. What an amazing, welcoming couple. The house is closely located near restaurants, shopping, the beach, hiking trails and misc. other activities. Although all the restaurants we went to were great, our favorite was The Galleria. It is an art gallery and Italian restaurant. The food and service was so awesome, we at there three nights and had three different homemade entrees including pizza made by a chef trained in Italy. We got to know Sasha and his Wife, the owners and the rest of the staff. They were so welcoming and made us feel like family. I couldn’t be happier with our entire stay at Jeff’s house which felt like ours. We even watered the flowers and put out the garage for pick up which really made us feel that it was our home. Much thanks to Jeff for sharing his gorgeous house and Cal & Ann!
We couldn’t have asked for more. This house was beautiful inside and out. Quiet neighborhood just outside of downtown. Perfect place for our family to stay for a wedding.
We rented this home with a group of family and friends coming for our sons wedding. The home was very comfortable, and Jeff the owner was helpful with all the details. :)
Excellent choice. Close to State Park, biking paths, Mt. Pisgah Dunes Boardwalk is a short bike ride and it provides a nice overview of the lake and the bay. Thanks for letting us use the gas BBQ, made for a great party the day a lot of the wedding party and guests stopped by. Only downside was freeway construction leading into the area, but this is Michigan. .
Our family enjoyed our stay in this lovely house! I would highly recommend this property and Holland, MI as a vacation destination!
Great location! Very clean house with a functional floor plan for our family! Jeff was professional, flexible and extremely responsive. Excellent experience all around!
Beautiful home close to the beach with all of the right amenities. Very clean and also had a grill and bikes for use. Short bike ride and walk to the beach and really nice neighborhood so I didn’t feel like your typical cottage rental.
We visit Holland every year and this time we took more of our family with us. This home was absolutely perfect for the 8 of us. It has plenty of space in a very quiet and clean neighborhood that is just a quick 5 minute drive from Holland state park. We highly recommend this home for bigger groups looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan coast!
We stayed at this property for 2 nights while on Michigan and it was wonderful. The house was very clean, a great location, and they had a well stocked kitchen and everything you could need for a trip to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time; even though the fish were not biting! The house was everything & more. Clean, close to parks & both large & small lakes. Even though the guys only caught one steelhead salmon, we still had a great time on the water. My daughter & I enjoyed going into the historic shopping area, where everyone was very welcoming. The family had fun walking to the General Store several nights for delicious ice cream. We also frequented Dune dogs & treats & played miniature golf at the Pirates. In all in was a very enjoyable & relaxing time & we are looking forward to returning..
This property was better than the pictures. We had part of our family with us and the layout of the house is perfect with three levels. The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. Close to the lake and so many attractions. Highly recommend this property. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had.
