The location was good, in close proximity to Provincetown and beaches. The house itself was adequate, but the listing was misleading. The name is Bayview House, but the bay is only visible from the upper decks. This is where the trouble starts. One deck was accesible only from a bedroom. It was inadequstely supported, and felt unsafe when walked on. The two plastic lawn chairs appeared dirty and did not lead one to want to sit on them. The second upper deck could only be reached by a narrow spiral staircase with an unsafe appearing railing, covered in foam. The main deck holds more dirty-appearing plastic chairs (my guess is mildewed and then powered washed) and one end of it holds an abandoned charcoal grill, a random pile of firewood, and the vines that are so ubiquitous that Jumanji comes to mind. The house in general is not for anyone with impaired mobility. The main entrance is reached via a steep staircase with awkward handrails where the paint is peeling. With the exception of one downstairs bedroom with twin beds, all orher bedrooms are reached by stairs--in the case of tbe bedroom with the deck, extremely steep, awkward stairs. While the intetior of the house is roomy and adequate for a large party, there is essentially no usable outdoor space. A pergola holds abandoned lawn furniture and has a good-sized tree growing through it. Any other spaces are overgrown and littered with abandoned, rusty artifacts. To use the fire pit would be to invite a forest fire.

This house is comfortable but the owners don’t care and don’t take care of it. The grounds and the house are in bad shape. No maintenance. It was clean but that’s about it. Many things either don’t work, outdoor lights and outlets and hot tub come to mind. My efforts to have these things addressed were ignored. I could only speak to a bot and was fed nothing but BS probably AI. I have stayed in nicer homes all over the world including Cape Cod. I suggest you look elsewhere. Don’t waste your time and money on this house.

Updated and modern inside only, exterior not so much. Location from PTown was good. Beware this house is on a narrow dirt road with lots of divets, can only fit one car at a time, no place to pull over if another car is coming in opposite direction, someone has to be the one to reverse all the way until your near a driveway or at beginning of road, very difficult in the pitch black of night, no lights and this street is extra narrow with woods surrounding both sides. Personally I wouldn’t rent this place again, just our groups opinion because of the stated reasons mentioned and don’t get me started on all the spiders and unlocked broken doors throughout the house.

The house was great. There was tons of space to hangout and relax. Lots of board games and TVs, and three living rooms. Kitchen fully stocked. Neither of the fridges have ice in them, so bring your own. The issues I have: Hot Tub listed as being available for use was NOT FULL OF WATER AND HAD GREEN SLIDGE AND DIRTY LEAVES IN IT. This was a real bummer, and disappointed the people who came expecting to hang in the hot tub outside. ALSO: do not expect vacasa to come fix any issues you have. I called right after I got there about hot tub AND one of the AC units in the master bedroom wasn’t working and they NEVER CALLED ME BACK AND NEVER CAME TO FIX IT. House was great, service was not. Disappointed with the service and communication from vacasa. But the house was great, just could have been better considering the cost.

We stayed in the house with 12 guests for a long weekend. Everyone was comfortably accommodated with their own bed and a private, clean bathroom for each of the couples. The property had ample parking, and a large outdoor patio space for gathering. The recently renovated kitchen had extensive labeling on cabinets for all available household amenities, VERY well stocked and organized. AC worked well in every room, including the rooms in the basement and main floors. Despite the number of bedrooms, the living room was much tighter to fit everyone in at one time. The amenities of the house were not accurately reflected within the listing: we brought a lot more household supplies than what we ultimately needed, while we probably could have brought more beach supplies, which were severely lacking given the size of our group and the size of this rental. The location of the property is in a very quiet, rural, and secluded area. While we had a free beach option available in town, it was a true 7 minute drive away from the house, not accessible by foot. The road leading to the house is narrow and unpaved, leading to several instances of cars having to back out the opposite way to allow for oncoming traffic to pass through. This was extremely difficult to navigate at night with no streetlights on the road. The property itself could use more land maintenance, as the surrounding yard was overgrown, unkempt, and neglected. It is in dire need of landscaping attention. The outdoor kitchen space was completely unusable, as was the hot tub and charcoal grill. The fire pit area, while usable, was unfinished and also had a lot of overgrowth. Given the house’s secluded location, the instructions said not to put trash out before Monday due to the rural wildlife, leaving no option for a weekend plan for trash removal. We were left with bags of accumulated trash taking up space within the home during our stay as a result. A few small leaks happened in the sitting room ceiling below an upstairs shower, while we also noticed a few holes in the ceiling in the basement due to construction. Painters tape could be seen in one of the basement bathroom showers, and small spots of mold/water damage were present in one of the basement bedrooms. The side patio doors were falling off their hinges as well. Overall, the house is suitable for a long weekend with friends, but any more time would quickly become cumbersome given the amount of improvised solutions by guests needed to make things work here.

This house is very spacious with a nice open layout and a great view of sunsets over the bay and Provincetown. However, it suffers from some serious maintenance issues stemming from neglect. There were too many issues to list here but the most egregious problems we had were 1) a leaky ceiling dripping water onto our bed (granted it was during Hurricane Ida), 2) multiple leaking doorways leading to wet rugs, 3) a broken sink drain leaking water directly onto the floor, 4) a beat up, barely functioning dishwasher, and 5) a broken side entry door lock to the kitchen (really inexcusable). There were so many broken appliances and missing or dead light bulbs that it was always a mystery when we flipped a switch. The kitchen and main part of the house were actually quite nice and seemingly updated recently along with modern split AC units in every room. The beds were okay but not great. The other furnishings were a bit ragtag and the outside was a total overgrown mess complete with broken hot tub and discarded kitchen sink as detailed by other reviewers. The outdoor hose and shower didn't work and the backyard fence was broken under the deck so our dog could easily escape. As others have mentioned, the dirt road leading to the house is in terrible shape and not really suitable for a non-truck, jeep, or SUV. There is no access to a beach or even a road leading to a beach, which seem to all be private here anyway. While the house functioned well enough for us, it seemed a bit of a shame to see it in this state because it has a lot of potential that could be achieved with some basic care (new roofing, fixing entry doorways, new dishwasher, some yard cleanup and landscaping). But right now it feels more like a place that twenty college kids would crash in over spring break rather than a luxury getaway for an extended family.

Layout of the house was great and the kitchen was large and comfortable for groups. The outside needs much to be desired. Unsafe furniture and landscaping badly needed. A little improvement would go a long way.
