Bayside Wayside is a new build, finished in 2026. Designed for up to eight guests, this relaxed coastal retreat pairs easy indoor living with thoughtful family-friendly touches and access to the best of Bay Creek.



The main level brings the kitchen, dining, and living areas together in an open layout, with a gas fireplace for cozy evenings. The well-equipped kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, Ninja blender, and everything needed for easy meals at home. Enjoy the 65-inch smart TV in the living room, a convenient dry bar with beverage cooler, and a first-floor primary suite with a king bed, desk/workspace, TV, large walk-in closet, and private en-suite bath with dual vanity and walk-in shower. A high chair and Pack ’n Play are available for younger guests. Outside, settle into the front porch seating or the back porch, where you will find outdoor seating and a propane grill.



Upstairs, a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two twin-over-twin bunk beds share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The second-floor loft includes a 55-inch smart TV, an additional sleeper sofa, and a second full hall bathroom completes the upstairs area. The queen bedroom and loft both have access to a second floor deck, which is perfect for watching the sunsets. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, cornhole, coolers, and a wagon are available in the detached garage, and the beach access is less than a half-mile from the home. Parking is available for up to four vehicles in designated areas.

Your stay includes complimentary access to select Bay Creek amenities, including the private community beach, a junior Olympic-size pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and more than 10 miles of hiking and biking trails through the community’s 365-acre nature preserve.



~ Optional Bay Creek Life Center resort package

For guests who would like access to Bay Creek’s Life Center, just a block away from the property, an optional resort package is available for $75 per night for the full reservation. The Life Center features three pools, a waterslide, splash pad, and state-of-the-art fitness center. A Bay Creek Life Center e-sign waiver is required before access is provided. Guests who purchase the package may also rent beach chairs and umbrellas for additional fees, as well as book tee times at the resort which features 27 holes of championship golf designed by legends Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus (*greens fees are not included in the resort package fee*). Partial-stay Life Center access is not available.



Cape Charles offers small-town charm, calm Chesapeake Bay beaches, local dining and shopping, and plenty of opportunities for golf, boating, fishing, biking, and exploring Virginia’s Eastern Shore.



Please note: This is a no-pet, no-smoking home; parties and events are not permitted. Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

**There is an owner golf cart parked in the garage that is not permitted to be used by renters.



Guest Access:

This home uses keyless entry for self-check-in; your door code is sent by email and text 24 hours prior to arrival. Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request (subject to availability). Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.



Off street parking is available. Street parking is not permitted. Up to four vehicles may park at the home; overflow parking is available in the community tennis/pool area. Community hangtags must be displayed when a vehicle is left unattended. RVs, boats, and trailers may use overflow parking only and may not park at the home.



The Neighborhood:

Located on a quiet street in the private, gated Bayside Village in the Bay Creek community near historic Cape Charles downtown, easy to access by bike or golf cart. Community beach access is just a few blocks away. Guests can also access community and member pools, private beach, gym, dining, tennis, pickleball, and golf amenities; some members only facilities may have separate access requirements or fees.



Noted on the National Register of Historic Places, Northampton County's Cape Charles offers one of the largest concentrations of turn-of-the-century buildings on the East Coast. The historic district and small-town atmosphere create a serene and inviting community. Enjoy the history and experience galleries, boutiques, bookshops, and beautiful beach! Cape Charles Town Beach is the only free public beach on the Easter Shore of Virginia.

Getting Around:

Cape Charles is located near the southern tip of Virginia’s Eastern Shore right on the Chesapeake Bay. Cape Charles is a small town (the historic area is roughly a six block by six block square) that sits on the peninsula’s western coast, meaning you can sit on the beach in Cape Charles and watch the sunset right over the water. On the Chesapeake Bay, not the Atlantic Ocean, the water is calm and shallow.
