Bayfront home with private dock, deck & sleeper porch - dog-friendly

If people actually read the majority of reviews, not just a few, as I did, they would NOT rent this house. The posting of the rental is NOT honest. The pictures were obviously taken many years back, talking year 2000 at least. The deck has soft spots, warped wood, even the picnic table is warped to the point of being unlevel. All the screens are so old and worn out that most of them have larege holes that just hang down, no way can you open the windows for fresh air. Speaking of which, the house wreaks of a moldy smell and when we got home all our clothing, and bags and pillows, had the smell so strong i had to wash them immediately, including my bed pillow I took with me. The house had a general cleaning, bathroom, kitchen, etc, but in bad need of deep cleaning throughout. It could easily be an adorable cottage to rent but the interior/furnishings are so old it's unreal. There were roaches, small brown and cockroaches! The outside of the place is so unkempt that it looks abandoned. They didn't even mow the grass, about 8 inches tall, at least; weeds are growing up all around the deck and the plastic outside chairs were molded; we had to wipe off the ones we used. I would really like to know WHO owns this home because they should be ashamed to be renting this place, and can't help but wonder if they even know the condition. I will NEVER rent via Avari, Vacasa, or the Casago management again, and VRBO should be ashamed for allowing them to host through their website.

The property was just as described and pictured

The house looked nothing like the photos. Fans and lights didn’t work, my son fell through the deck by picnic table and turned his ankle, many other boards were rooten. Painting tape was not even removed from the floor. There were cockroaches all over the kitchen.

The property was good for our family. The inside was as pictured but the outside is run down , needs work. Beautiful view of the bay! Trash blowing around from ongoing construction next door! Boat lift raw wood, no carpet on runners.

Perfect spot for fish camp

Property very run down from building to porch. Porch broken boards or caved in. Very hazardous. All furniture needed replaced, worn broken, squeaky. Couldn't even use 1 bed it was so loud. Roaches everywhere. Crawling on counters and floors. Very unhappy with this VRBO.

House was nice and very clean. Needs some furniture upgrades and a couple necessities. All n all we had a great stay.

great location...a little dated but we had a blast catching crabs and fishing off the dock.

Nice place with a beach bungalow feel and cold AC. Yes, the furniture is a little old, but it's clean and comfortable. Has a pier you can easily dock your boat at. The bay is nice. We went swimming and paddle boarding. Other reviews said there is junk in the front yard, but I didn't see any. I recommend bringing some umbrella chairs for sitting outside. They have wooden andirondack chairs, but I'm not a big fan of them (personal preference). I'd stay hear again.
