BASQUE BREATH-Unique Villa, Fantastic View, Fabulous Pool

Check-in was smooth and flawless. A good time was had by all. The fenced in yard was great for the kids to run around with addition to the pool and tennis court. The kitchen was fully equipped with enough glasses, plates etc to feed a full house. The view was to die for and the location, unbeatable. We cannot wait to visit again

We were a company of 11 people, who were supposed to be divided into 8 rooms, which turned out to be 7 rooms. We had a nice weekend, the host was very helpful in assisting with all our needs. The accommodation itself was probably more suitable for a large family than for work colleagues as the rooms had an open solution for toilets and showers. Overall, a good weekend for us.

Jose took incredible care of us. His service was exceptional and we are very grateful. We had an unforgettable stay in his beautiful house. We didn't miss anything and we can highly recommend a stay there.

Bottom line: The Property is overpriced and not worth the money as the house is old; There are bugs all in the house and in the beds.There is poor temperature control in the bedrooms with no AC, The basement has black mold and is smelly, they did not open the basement rooms but we hired the full house on booking. The photos on Vrbo do not reflect the condition of the actual house. The pool table is very old, dirty and the cloth is ripped. The table tennis table is bent on one side. Showers in 2 bedrooms are not fit for purpose as the shower head does not clip into the holder therefore after showering water is all over the floor. Internet very slow approx. 9.5 Mbps download speed and very patchy. Also kept going off. Image of telescope on Vrbo but no telescope provided. Electric breaker box has no protection, this box is located next to the fridge and electric wires exposed with no lock on the cover. I had to inform my children not to go anywhere near it as it poses a severe electric shock risk. We have travelled to many countries and have stayed at exceptional Vrbo's for less cost. This is not one of them. Save your time and money and please look at the nearby smaller French towns as they have much better places for half the price. Pros: the view is incredible from the mountaintop and the town of Hondaarriba is quite nice. Also, the pool was nice. The beach is not walking distance.

Great property for large groups and families. Spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. Josean is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Overall, a great experience.

Beautiful property with incredible views very spacious with well-equipped kitchen. Games room and pool meant there was always plenty for everybody to do. Jose responded promptly to any queries we had

We had an excellent stay at this villa which is well located close to Hondarribia and San Sebastian and is a great base to explore the Basque country. Our host Jose Antonio was fantastic and very responsive to all of our requests. He went above and beyond in terms of service and support to our family group. Thank you very much Josean! We had a memorable stay in this beautiful house! It is super spacious so we could easily accommodate 3 families, and the activities for the kids are brilliant. Best of all is the super nice and available host, Josean, who was near enough to come by if we needed him and who greeted us with a very generous basket of Spanish goodies!
