Barefoot Pelican | Stunning Beachfront Views

Loved beach access located between two Beach Access. Dollar General Nearby, Well equipped kitchen, adequate space for family

The Barefoot Pelican is a great place to stay. It was spacious, clean, comfortable, and exactly as advertised. The beach access is wonderful. The communication with the property management company could be a bit more clear as there were actually more amenities than listed in the emails.

When we first checked in the smell of mold was overpowering. The A/C wasn’t running at the time so we turned it on in the hopes that it would ventilate the house and lessen the smell. On the second day, the A/C quit working. The management company was great to work with and sent an HVAC company to look at it by that evening. Unfortunately the company didn’t have the part, so it couldn’t be fixed until the next day. On the third day, while we were still waiting for the A/C to be fixed, a pipe busted in the upstairs bathroom. Luckily our son was in the neighboring bedroom at the time and heard the water. The HVAC repairman was there at the time and the only way to stop the water was to shut off the water to the whole house. We cleaned up the water as best we could, but it started leaking through a light fixture in the downstairs. That’s when we decided it was time to leave. To their credit, the management company found us a comparable house to finish out our stay, but I wouldn’t recommend the Barefoot Pelican property to anyone until the water and mold damage is fully remediated.

My family and I stayed here for spring break and it was absolutely amazing.

Far enough way to be quiet but close enough to whatever your heart desires, property management is easy to deal with.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend right on the beach! Especially enjoyed the outdoor shower and seating spaces! The only thing we thought was lacking was basic spices (salt and pepper) and the amount of toilet paper that was given for a long weekend

Waking up to see the beach through the big windows in the living room each day was wonderful. We loved having direct access to the beach too. The house had everything we needed, including some fun beach toys downstairs and an outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand before going inside. It was a great spot to be with our family and make memories in Galveston together.

Loved the house and the location!

The prperty was great. Could have used towels(beach). the weather was foggy the first two days but who can accurately predict that. Other than tat it was nice.
