Beach was awesome, kids loved the house!

We had an amazing stay at Barefoot Cove. The view of the lake was only surpased by the amenities inside the house. Would 100% stay again!

What a stay!We had a wonderful week at this beautiful lakefront home with 8 adults, 2 kids, and 2 very happy boxers. Nestled in what felt like our own private cove, the property had everything we needed to fully enjoy lake life. The kayaks were a great bonus, and we also rented a pontoon for the week while family brought paddleboards—everything came together to make it feel like the perfect getaway.The house was spacious and well laid out, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and unwind. The game room was a big hit with both the kids and the “big kids,” and the kitchen was large and well-equipped for cooking meals together. We loved gathering at the big dining table, both inside and out on the screened-in porch.Daily walks around the area were a great way to get some fresh air and exercise—the hilly roads made for a good workout! Throughout the week, we enjoyed card games, puzzles, and Legos—there truly was something for everyone.If we had any small critiques, it would be that the ceiling fans in the queen and king bedrooms on the ground level are controlled by a single switch, which made it tricky for each room to adjust their fan independently. Also, the smoke alarms went off twice unexpectedly—once in the middle of the night and once early in the morning. Thankfully, the property manager was responsive and replaced them during our stay.Overall, it was a peaceful and memory-filled vacation—we’d absolutely return!

We stayed her for a family wedding in Charlotte. House was very clean and well stocked with toiletries, kitchen supplies (seasonings, cookware, etc), and extra towels for the lake. Great space for large gatherings. Games were a hit with all.

Lovely house, beautifully decorated with amazing views of Lake Norman. The family enjoyed the toys inside and out. We used the kayaks daily along with the corn hole boards, pinball machines, air hockey, etc. Fished off the spacious dock. The beach area provided just enough sand for the little ones to play with their toys. We rented a pontoon which was super fun too. The description of the house should be corrected. It is listed as 4 bathrooms - Shower only. There are actually bathtubs in the 2 lower level bathrooms.We almost didn't book this house because we thought there were no bathtubs. With 4 small children, having a house with tubs was mandatory for us. Fortunately we noticed in the pictures that there were bathtubs in the house. The cons should also be mentioned. There is an electrical wiring issue that needs to be corrected. The 3 lower level bedrooms have ceiling fans/lights with crossed wires. Flipping a switch in one bedroom turned on the fan (or light) in another bedroom. This was quite frustrating for the family members staying in those bedrooms. The other con was with the tankless water heater. On several occasions, a family member would be taking a shower when, suddenly, the water turned ice cold. Overall, my family would recommend this lovely vacation house especially when these issues are corrected.

WOW! This property exceeded our expectations! Thanks for sharing! There were no surprises and the listing actually didn't do it justice. The location was perfect for us to play in the lake, use the rented boat (That process was smooth as well) and enjoy the home inside and out! We loved the games downstairs, thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and had everything we needed! Note: The home provided smores supplies but no sticks for roasting marshmallows _ That would have been helpful! There needs to be a trash container downstairs in the rec room. The downstairs king bed on the side of the house that is opposite of the arcade - celing fan is controlled by the next door bedroom light switch. That was not discovered until the last day after we were sleeping without a fan :( Those are my only suggestions! LOVED Every second there!!!! Thanks again!
