Stayed Jul 11, 2025We generally liked our stay at this cabin. It was cool enough to open the back door and the window over the bed so we could enjoy sleeping to the sounds of the creek below. I had to wash off all of the furniture on the back porch, where we needed to eat our breakfast (no table inside the cabin). The biggest drawback was the fact that we had to park behind the main house and carry our luggage and coolers across a grassy field (the gravel path is overgrown). I have some mobility issues, so this was difficult for me. It said kitchenette, but it was similar to a hotel (tiny refrigerator and barely any counter space), so I wish this had been better described in the listing. Fortunately, since we were convening a tent at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games during the weekend, we hadn't counted on fixing any meals there.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024The place was semi secluded and beside a creek. The sounds of the creek were beautiful! A small little place but just enough for a couple or a couple with a kid. Absolutely beautiful!

Stayed Nov 17, 2023Small but well appointed studio cabin. It's cozy and comfortable. The back deck is an amazing find looking over a bubbling creek.

Stayed Oct 22, 2023Banner Haven Creekside Cabin is a real gem. My husband and I loved the location which backs up to a creek and a forest, yet is just minutes away from Banner Elk, our favorite mountain town. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck every morning while marveling at the beautiful Fall Foliage. The cabin is a perfect size for 2 people and well stocked with essentials. Beatrice, our host, always responded quickly to our questions. We will definitely make return visits to this cabin.

Stayed Oct 7, 2022We had a great experience at the cabin in Banner Elk. It’s small and has everything you could need. It’s very comfortable and well laid out and makes the most of the small space. The shower has fantastic water pressure and also has a tankless water heater. The only constructive feedback I have is that the mattress is a little firm and could stand to be replaced, but otherwise it was a wonderful visit and we will definitely be back! The location is a short drive to downtown Banner Elk. The property is shared with another house, but still feels private, especially the lovely back porch that overlooks the creek.

Stayed Sep 2, 2022Creekside Cabin is a quaint little place. There is a great back deck that is covered overlooking a creek that makes for quite a comfortable setting. If I have a criticism of the property it would be the furniture. It is not very comfortable. Also our hope was to be able to walk to the heart of downtown Banner Elk from the cabin, but the Beech Mountain Parkway (184) doesn't have enough shoulder space to feel comfortable walking the road to town center in my opinion.

Stayed Jul 14, 2022The cabin itself is finished with real wood paneling and has rough sawn exposed beams. But the real star is the back porch with a view of the creek and of course the sounds of the creek as it tumbles down. Beatriz was very accommodating, providing us with everything we asked for. Overall, a good experience
