The incredible vistas at Deception Pass, miles of walking and cycling trails at Fort Ebey State Park. Kite flying, beach combing and exploring at Fort Casey State Park and Admiralty Lighthouse. Take a short ferry ride to Historical Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula or spend the day wandering quaint Coupeville, where they grow the famous Penn Cove mussels, kayak rentals, the museum, or Whale Watching tours and Farmer's Market in the summer. We loved everything about this property! The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is very well appointed. The star of the show is definitely the view, however! We spent our 20th anniversary here (with our dog, Zoey) and we were so happy with everything that we didn't feel like we needed to leave to experience Whidbey, but trips into Coupeville or Oak Harbor for groceries are very easy and the location of the house is excellent for exploring the island in any direction. Birdwatchers should definitely consider this house for their stay! Bald eagles, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and belted kingfishers were just a few of the birds we saw right up close. We loved watching the harbor seals that clearly live along this shoreline and regularly pop up to look around. We even got to see two gray whales swim by on our last morning! The beach is fantastic for rockhounding and for taking a stroll along the water. Patte is an amazing host! Her communication is excellent and she was so welcoming and helpful! Her chickens lay delicious eggs, as well. We absolutely hope to stay here again.

Fabulous house and amazing views! Right on the beach (down some stairs) which meant we were able to easily access it. With the tide out, you can walk long distances. Quite a bit of aquatic life activity. Deck had table & chairs, gas grill, comfy seating area, also with THAT view! Bedrooms were great with comfortable linens and beds. Kitchen was set up with everything we could have possibly needed. It was very well and thoughtfully appointed. Kitchen, Living and Dining rooms were open concept which meant anywhere you were, you had a great water view. Patte, the host, was wonderful. There were 6 of us and the overall consensus is we would rent this home again. So much to do in the area and we loved being close to Coupeville. But easy drives to many wonderful places. Very enjoyable 4 nights!

We had another wonderful family Thanksgiving here. The view is outstanding and only made better by the 2 pods of orcas that passed by. The house is well stocked and really comfortable. Patte is a very welcoming host and we greatly appreciated her willingness to introduce our granddaughter the farm animals that she keeps across the street.

Absolutely fabulous! Amazing deck, spacious rooms, unbelievably well furnished kitchen, gorgeous water view…I cannot say enough about how great this house is. Also, our host told our daughter where to launch her kayak and where to set her crab traps, and we had fresh Dingeness crab every night. I totally recommend!!!

Our family spent 8 wonderful days and nights at Patte’s Bakerview Beach home. Located on the east side of Whidbey Island, the house has an absolutely stunning view of Saratoga Sound and Mount Baker. We spent many hours lounging on the deck watching the tides roll in and out on the beach below along with the seals and Orca’s swimming through the channel and the bald eagles soaring through the trees. The house is fully stocked and has all the amenities anyone would want including a steam shower. Patte is a delightful and very helpful host. She also creates some terrific honey and other foods and crafts from her farm. The town of Coupeville is a quaint, friendly village that provides great food, convivial bars and invigorating water activities (kayaking, paddle boarding, etc) while Whidbey Island features miles of beach exploration and forest hiking.Overall, this is a great place to stay in a wonderful area.

This is one of the best properties - if not THE best property - we have ever stayed in. The view is truly breathtaking: We struggled to move away from the deck, where we could watch the sea, the mountains, seals, eagles, gulls, and hummingbirds - and all in total tranquility. The house is warm, clean, and really well equipped and the town of Coupeville is an easy 10 minute drive.Patte is a great host and was really responsive. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday, and the Bakerview Beach House was great. Such spectacular views enabled us to enjoy the alpenglow on Mt Baker in the evening, harbor seals swimming by the house each morning, and bald eagles soaring by now and then. The view is breathtaking! And Whidbey Island is such a special place; there’s just so much to do within minutes of the house. The house met our needs in every way. Comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and ample seating in the dining and living room areas.Everything worked and the house was very clean. This really was one of the nicest VRBO properties we’ve experienced and we hope to return. Thank you, Patte!

Photo’s really don’t do the property justice. Fantastic spot. Balcony is the highlight for me. Sitting out drinking coffee listening to the water lap the beach in the morning sun. Just magical. The balcony/deck is much bigger than any of the photo’s suggest. House was everything you’d want a rental to be and had everything you could ever imagine needing. More magical than the house and the location though was our host Patte. What a kind and gracious human being. And could not have been more attentive or responsive. Any questions or queries she was on like a flash! She really made a difference to our trip and one we are truly grateful for Fantastic rental, even more fantastic host. Highly recommended.
