Communication with Courtney, the property manager, was fine until our arrival. We arrived around 4pm and the door code did not work. I called 4 times, and texted many times with ZERO response. We have a friend who knows Courtney’s husband and he gave us a different code. That didn’t work either. Finally Courtney’s husband came down to the unit and got my husband in. At this time I was at Rio Loco, my husband came to get me and by the time we made it back to the unit (30 min or so) THE UNIT WOULD NOT OPEN UP AGAIN. I texted Courtney again. Again, no answer. My husband got the attention of someone on the property next to the unit, and he found Courtney. Turns out, she lives at this next door property. She came down to the unit, clearly annoyed. She could not open the unit either. I asked why she hadn’t returned our texts and phone calls. Her response was, “it’s been a rough weekend” (it’s was Saturday). My response was, “I paid $541 to stay here (way too much BTW), I should be able to get in to it.” She left back to her house, after she reluctantly apologized, promised to compensate me for my inconvenience, and let me know her husband would be home soon. This was at around 7:45pm. Around 8pm, my husband and I watched her husband walk into their home. He did not come out to help us. Did not call or text us either. We left at 8:30pm to head home (we live in Yuma) with zero word again from these “managers”. What a terrible way to do business. We have filed a complaint with VRBO.
