Welcome to Mandie’s Fetching Family Home, a cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood in the hills above Pacific Beach. This family-friendly home offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, featuring a spacious, open living area with comfy seating for everyone. The fully-equipped kitchen is ideal for home chefs, and the dining area offers seating for six with a cheerful gas fireplace to add ambiance. The master bedroomboasts a King-sized bed, a TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom includes a Queen bed and a TV, while the third bedroom is perfect for families, with a Queen bed, bunk beds (two singles), and a TV. A second bathroom with a tub/shower combo serves the other two bedrooms. The home also features central AC, a grassy fenced yard, and a private pool and spa, making it a great place to relax and unwind.

Mandie’s Fetching Family Home offers plenty of entertainment options for everyone. The spacious living area features a 55-inch flat-screen Smart TV, perfect for watching movies, TV shows, or cheering on your favorite sports teams. Outside, the large patio and pool area transform into your personal oasis with a fire pit, a wood cabana with lounge seating, Bluetooth-enabled speakers, a Smart TV, BBQ grill, dining area, and lounge chairs. Whether you're enjoying the warmth of the fire, cooking up a meal on the BBQ, or lounging by the pool, this outdoor space is designed for both relaxation and entertainment. For beach lovers, the home also provides 4 beach cruiser bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, and other beach toys, so the fun doesn’t stop at the doorstep. (Please note: Pool service is on Tuesdays 10am-12 PM, and Fridays 7-9am)

The beach is just a short 1.7-mile bike ride away, where you can enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. The local area is full of family-friendly attractions, including SeaWorld, which is just a short drive away. During the summer, you can even watch the spectacular SeaWorld fireworks show right from the front yard! The neighborhood itself is quiet and residential, providing a peaceful retreat, while still being close to all the action. Additionally, the garage offers parking for two small to midsize cars, and there’s plenty of street parking available for any extra or larger vehicles.

Policies & What to Expect

Pool Heat: An additional fee of $49/day.

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Nightly Minimum Policy:
2-4 night minimums required in the off season.
4-5 minimums required in the peak season.
(Please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!)

☀️ Holidays:
4-5 night minimums required. No arrivals on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day.

☀️ Summer:
Memorial Day-Labor Day. 5 night minimum.
No arrivals on Independence Day (July 4)

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

• Pet Policy: Pets are permitted at this property with an ADDITIONAL FEE. The fee is $200 plus tax for the first pet, and $100 plus tax for the second pet. Please be advised: THIS FEE IS EXTRA, IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUNDLED RATE AT BOOKING. We require additional details about your pet before approving and processing payment for the pet fee.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group.

After booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents.

In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days.

Property Appearance:
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

Property Responsibilities:
If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management, Replacement of keys/fobs/remotes, and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!

Many buildings are also managed by HOAs who will fine guests for misconduct.

Noise:
This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

Starter Kit/Guest Essentials:
We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a ‘starter kit’ to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and co2/fire detectors.

We recommend a car for ease of getting around, but public transportation (city bus) is available by walking 0.5 miles to the south. Parking for 2 small to mid-sized vehicles in the private garage is included with the rental. You may park one vehicle directly in front of the house if it is too large for the garage. Please pay attention to the monthly street sweeping signs.

    We really enjoyed our stay at this house! The location was perfect, the home was very clean, and the pool, hot tub, and outdoor seating area were definitely our favorite part of the property. The house did have a distinct smell, but it wasn’t strong enough to keep us from renting again. The only thing we missed was having a full-size mirror, which would have been nice. Overall, a great rental that we would happily return to!

    Had a family reunion and we all enjoyed this house so much! Lots of space and the outdoor area is beautiful and relaxing. We spent most of our time in the pool and hot tub. Had fun family bbqs. Beds were comfy and the house was clean. Management was responsive and check in/out was easy. It was hard to go back to reality.

    Mandie’s Family Home was an excellent place to stay for three couples to relax and enjoy a long weekend in San Diego. The property management team and maintenance were very responsive and addressed concerns right away. It was a beautiful property from the pool to the home, highly recommend!

    Beautiful and well-kept property. Easy to understand access. Could be considered handicap accessible because I am in a wheelchair full-time and I was able to easily get into and out of property and the property was easy to move around in as well. We spent our Christmas Day there and it was lovely to feel at home. Thank you

    This Pacific Beach area home was incredibly well stocked, with three nice bedrooms and a comfortable living room. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but a 4 minute drive to Trader Joe’s, Vons and CVS, and it’s walking distance to Kate Sessions park, which has a lovely overlook of San Diego. The garage easily fits a larger car and there is street parking available too. It has a nice washer and dryer. The back yard is essentially a pool and spa (we paid to have the pool heated-it’s worth it) and two sitting areas, one by the spa (with tv) and one by the pool with a gas grill and table. The pool area is private, surrounded by a fence and greenery. Two of the bedrooms have doors out to the pool area. The small front yard is grassy and fenced, so we could let our dog out. The home is also stocked with beach towels and beach toys. The kitchen had far more than the basics-a happy surprise. And a double oven-we never needed to use the lower one, but how convenient for a larger meal! We stayed with our two adult children and their partners and we were all comfortable. Plenty of room on the massive sectional to watch movies and football together. It’s a short drive to Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Ocean Beach (for the dog beach) and 18 minutes to the airport. The hosts were very responsive to questions. We stayed for over a week and would happily stay here again!

    This cute house was perfect for us! Our group had 4 adults and our 18 month old, so we had some room to spare. The pool and hot tub were great, the house was clean, check in was simple and everything was thoroughly explained. Close to Pacific Beach but far enough down the road for peace and quiet. Can’t wait to return!

    In a quiet culdesac and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. Close to shopping in PB. The house looks just like the photos but definitely needs some upgrades, furnishings and carpet need cleaning and many of the windows don't open. I had read in another review that it needed deep cleaning, they were right. Great having the pool area to hang out .

    We absolutely loved this little home and the neighborhood. We walked to lunch, walked to PB, had guests over for a graduation brunch, had groceries delivered, swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tub, and wished we had more time there. We are admittedly, a bit particular, would have appreciated a solid deep clean prior to our arrival but again, that is a personal opinion. Would for sure stay here again, without hesitation. The home is well appointed, comfortable, and the location was super quiet in a welcoming little neighborhood. A BIG thank you to the rental agency, we needed an iron and they delivered a brand new one, in record time! Thank you!

    This house is Absolutely Beautiful, we loved the pool and hot tub as we had on the gas fireplace our Grandsons were in such awe of the outside space they could see the tv as they swam. Beds were comfy, House was immaculate, kitchen had everything we needed. Pacific beach was the perfect location we were close to Everything.
