FROM MISSION BLVD: From West Mission Bay Drive at the Roller Coaster, turn right (north) on Mission Blvd., turn right onto alley past San Jose Pl. Home is the last home on the left at the end of the alley.
PARKING: You will need to back into the garage by making a left onto Bayside Lane and reversing into space. There is also additional street parking on Mission Blvd. Be mindful of street parking restrictions!
Beautiful House, very clean, well maintained. Awesome spot, one house up from the bay. Great kitchen and common area on top floor. Nice bedrooms. Be prepared to walk up stairs. Had a wonderful stay, would definitely stay stay again.
Great, quiet location on the Bay side of Mission Beach. Second house in from the sand. The house had a great family room, spacious 2 bedrooms and another spot in the lower level for someone else to sleep or just another room to spread out. Great outdoor spaces to hang out, too. Parking is tight so be careful on how big of a vehicle you get, but we easily managed with a mid size SUV. Walkable to everything!
Great location right on Mission Bay with the ocean just a few blocks away!
There is new-build construction going on 15 feet from this house--but we got lucky and no one was working while we stayed here. The house is great--super clean, many amenities, great location, built in 2011. (If you want to have sit-down dinners here, you have to rearrange the dining table, but we didn't.) The parking, though. :( This is by far and away the worst parking we've encountered at a Mission Beach rental. We have a Chevrolet Tahoe, which we considered a small SUV, which the listing said could fit. And the listing from Blue Water Vacation Homes actually showed a Tahoe in the car port. I have no idea how they got it in there. Our Tahoe could have fit in the parking space, but the turning radius is too big to be able to make the turn into the space. We don't even think our sedan would have been able to make the turn. So, be warned: you can only park a fairly small car at the house, either in the car port or in the garage because of the turn you have to make. We even moved all the trash carts to try to make the turn. There is a public lot across Mission Blvd. which would have cost $400 for our four days, with no in/out privileges.
What an amazing trip! We had so much fun in this beautiful beach home. All our needs were met, property agents went above and beyond to make sure we were constantly being accommodated. Will definitely be visiting again.
This property was amazing. It’s just steps from the beach and bay and a 5 minute walk to the ocean. Top floor was beautiful and very relaxing. They’re stairs to the second and third floor.
We liked having the option of the ocean or the calmness of the bay right outside the door. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.
We enjoyed our 3 week stay! The house was in good shape. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Kitchen table was a make shift one that worked fine for us. Bedrooms and bathrooms were good. Spacious bathrooms and nice sized bedrooms. TV’s are in need of an upgrade although it didn’t matter much to us. Primary Bedroom has memory foam mattress which worked fine but a bit warm. Nice linens. Laundry nice too. The toughest thing about the home was the steep stairs with the kitchen/living area on the 3rd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd. Overall it worked great for us as we were close to our daughters family. Loved opening the expansive sliding door in the living area for fresh air! FYI Looks like construction is ready to begin across Salem’s sidewalk (which could be fun for little ones to watch) so could stop you from opening up those nice doors. Management company was excellent in communication and solving a couple of small issues.
We booked this house because of the Bay views shown online. You will not have those views. There is a giant pine tree that blocks your top story views. On their listing, they use a picture that was taken several feet above head level. The reality is that you will be looking at a tree, not the bay. Additionally, the ground floor patio is now obstructed by a large green construction fence due to the house immediately adjacent to this property being under full construction. We were informed about construction 3 days before our check in date, although the house had been razed and all debris cleared, which would take several weeks if not 1-2 moths. I do not believe they just found out about the construction 3 days before our vacation started. To their credit, they did refund 20% of our rental cost. Upon check in, the patio doors and all the windows were unlocked and open, floors were still wet and we received no notification that there were any issues with cleaning property before our arrival. Lastly, we called just after we booked (many months prior to our arrival), and asked specifically if they had memory foam mattress or traditional spring mattress. We asked this because I have back issues and I can not sleep on memory foam. Well, the master bedroom had a memory foam mattress. They did offer a mattress topper (this would not help) and also suggested I sleep alone in the guest bedroom. So I left this vacation with significant back pain. We tried to find a different place to stay after our first night but there was little availability. We would have given up the money we paid to stay had we found suitable replacement accomodations. I'm sure this house is great for those who don't mind a memory foam mattress and there is no ongoing construction and like looking at a tree. But we feel this management company is guilty of bait and switch. We travel 5-6 times per year. This property was the worst we have ever stayed in given what we were told about the property and the exepctations they portray online.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home until workers started demolishing the property next door — stating at 7:00am every morning. If you are renting this property in the next few months I would beware as there will surely be construction going on there for awhile — and it’s directly off the patio and deck which kills the tranquil vibe. The property managers did not offer any help (relocation or discount) so I would beware of them as well. I feel bad for the owners because this truly is a beautiful, well kept home.
We have been coming to Mission Beach for 6 years and chose a different house each year....but no longer. This house has it all: location, great neighborhood, excellent amenities and the management company was fantastic in their communication. highly recommend!
Fantastic property with a perfect location. Would not hesitate to book this property again.
