Stayed Jan 16, 2026PROSThe overall vibe of the place is quaint but with modern conveniences. Comfy beds, warm comforters, plenty of space, great coffee maker with pods, peaceful and quiet out in the country. The host was accommodating to us and responsive overall. In general the place was immaculate except for...CONSThere was a beetle infestation (perhaps seasonal?) while we were there. The bugs were quite disconcerting. They crawled in through the vents and windows and were attracted to the lights and warmth of the upper story. Dozens and dozens. We notified tbe host and he informed us they were harmless and nonbiting. While that was nice information it didn't help when they buzzed us in the middle of the night. Mostly they crawled on the ceiling and walls. The other CON was the beautiful but slick wooden stairs. Everyone in our party slipped on the stairs, my 6 foot adult son took a hard fall. If it wasn't for the bugs we'd give this a much higher rating.

Stayed Oct 23, 2025This place was an absolute charm! The yard was beautiful, green with lots of trees. The house was clean and full stocked. Karl was such an amazing host. Check in was easy, checking out was easy. The bedrooms were so nice and relaxing. The sheets were crisp and clean, the pillows were fluffy and thick. Heating and cooling one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The mini kitchen upstairs was convenient for our kids. Smart tvs were a huge plus. Parking was nice and close. Laundry room was perfect. We celebrated an early thanksgiving dinner with our adult children. Kitchen had literally everything we needed (Olympia was our meet up posing) Walmart was close by about 5 minutes away, so if we forgot anything we would just go real quick. We had dinner one night at Thuy's Pho. Pho and pad Thai was delicious. Mall was close by with lots of other shopping options. Also close to a lot of little lakes so my guys went fishing here and there. You can get a day license at Walmart. This is home away from home. Loved it. Will stay here again

Stayed Aug 13, 2025We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property and I would highly recommend it to others. The farmhouse was ideal for our needs (layout, amenities, privacy) and we really enjoyed the historic feel of the place. Everything was beautifully restored and the host was pleasant and very helpful. This is an amazing place and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Olympia.

Stayed Aug 10, 2025Beautiful house! We stayed here three nights with our three small children. Only wish we could've stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again. The home was very clean and, obviously, well taken care of. Karl was a very hospitable host and made our stay even more enjoyable by providing children's items that were very much appreciated.

Stayed Jul 31, 2025This is one of the best VRBO accommodations I've ever stayed in. It was thoroughly and beautifully appointed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There are plenty of outlets, which I think is unusual in a vintage home. It looked like everything had been thoroughly and tastefully restored to blend vintage character with modern convenience. Three of us were there for a digital scrapbook workshop over Zoom and it went beautifuuly. Check-in was simple with the code sent to us. And best of all, communication with our host Karl was excellent from pre-booking to check-out.

Stayed Jul 10, 2025I really wanted to like this place. It was a nice setting just outside of town but within 5-10 minutes of pretty much everything you’d need. The house was decorated nicely and was nicely constructed unlike many of the new cookie cutter cheap properties that are out there. So that was the good, but then things started to come up short from there. The kitchen was sparely appointed. For example, only 4 spoons. The pans had lost all semblance of being non-stick and were a huge pain to use/clean. The oven and fridge were ok. It’s not a kitchen for more than a couple people. The shades were nice looking but blocked zero sunlight which is an issue during PNW summers. The biggest drawback was the lack of a gathering place for more than 3 people. At one point in time, it looks like there was a nice big family room right as you walked in; however, this was turned into a bedroom. I don’t know who would want to pick that as a bedroom seeing how it is right next to the front door, dining table, the small sitting room, and kitchen. There is a small room with a couch and chair with a tv, but you can’t comfortably fit more than 3 people in it. The two bedrooms upstairs are nicely appointed, but they do share a bath. For some reason there is a small kitchen and dining table upstairs. I don’t know who would ever use that? It would make a nice third bedroom. In summary, the layout is lacking except for a very small family or a couple, but the property and location is very nice.

Stayed Jul 31, 2024That is what our auntie said, when she and her daughter and grandkids stayed for a few days. They wanted to stay longer and spend more time at the Hands On children's museum, and relax in the beautiful and comfortable house we rented for them. The host was great, and readily available for questions.
