Austracantha Cottage

Another wonderful stay for us at Austracantha. It's such a cute property and well-maintained. Very private, peaceful setting and great spot to recharge the batteries. Comfortable beds for a good sleep, and a highlight is always sitting outside on the balcony with several spots depending on the time of day. The fairy lights bring a magical look at night. Our doggy loved running around the big enclosed backyard. Easy drive into town, looking at the beautiful countryside. Plus always wonderful hosts to deal with.

Thank you for our beautiful stay at Austracantha Cottage. The only bad thing was, we didnt book for longer. Fantastic set up and perfect for our dog's. The check in instructions clear and easy to follow. The house is cosy and equipped with everything we needed. The property has been really well thought out, from the screens to obscure tanks and give a lovely veiw to the way the back yard and decking area has been secured to keeps pups from roaming to far. Would highly recommend and we look forward to booking for a longer stay soon.

A fantastic and beautiful cottage, with stunning landscape and views, in Mansfield. The cottage has everything for a really comfortable stay with family. My kids had a rollicking time with so much things for them to do - exploring the vast area that comes with the property, kangaroo and echidna sightings, lots of games to keep them occupied. Will come again if I get a chance.

Felt immediately relaxed as drove up to the house, great amenities, large yard for the dogs to run around in. A quiet getaway that we wished we had more time to stay at.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Austracantha Cottage was better than expected and had everything we could have needed. The cottage is totally surrounded by nature with views to die for. It was clean with great ammenities, an amazing hot shower, indoor and outdoor wood heater and so much more. Leanne and Paul were so accommodating and always available to answer any questions we had and the directions they gave us to find the cottage were easy to follow. We would love to return to Austracantha Cottage and will definitely be recommending it to family and friends.

Very clean property, with everything you would need provided, including lots of games for the kids. Lovely quiet spot to getaway from the city life.

The online description doesn't do it justice, this property was not only clean and beautifully decorated, it included everything you could possibly need. We loved everything about this place, and the patio games were a huge hit with our teenagers. It's definitely a place we'll come back to!

There is nothing we did not like about this place. Excellent and very thoughtful arranged home. I look forward to come back! I hope other guests know to appreciate the level of care this hosts have put into this place. We love every minute and we were sad to leave so soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Austracantha Cottage. The cottage is extremely well-appointed with plenty of games and activities to keep kids and teenagers entertained. The gate on the front deck secures the yard, preventing dogs and kids from escaping. Everything has been thought of for guests, right down to a tin of dog biscuits. We loved the fire pit and the Coonara wood-fire heater during our Winter getaway. Our only regret is that we didn't book a couple more nights to stay. Highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, cosy cottage surrounded by stunning scenery. The views from the house were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole place had such a relaxing atmosphere. We woke up to kangaroos and colourful parrots right on the porch, and even spotted deers nearby such a special experience. The cosy fireplace made it even more memorable, especially after our day trips. It was just a short drive to Mansfield, and we also enjoyed exploring Mt Buller, Mt Stirling, and Powers Lookout in Beechworth.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Austracantha Cottage! From the moment we arrived, the charm and coziness of the place made us feel right at home. This was our second stay at the cottage and we had a lovely time. It has everything we needed and more! Beds were very comfy, towels were magnificent and there was lots of wildlife to see, deer, kangaroos lots of different birds. The cottage was very clean and we will definitely be going back again. The high country is just absolutely beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in this well appointed and spotless holiday home. It was well stocked with games and activities, and several outdoor spaces to follow the sun throughout the day. Our dog loved the fenced garden and we enjoyed watching the roos and birds who came to visit. Really great house in a beautiful setting.

Perfect cottage for a weekend away.

We are repeat customers at this lovely property. It feels like a home away from home. The kitchen is well-fitted, lovely lounge, and the beds are comfortable. I love the heated towel rail in the bathroom. A number of outdoor spaces to sit and relax, watch the stars or enjoy a BBQ. If you like peaceful it is a great spot. There is no WI-FI so a chance to pull out a DVD. Easy drive in to Mansfield township. Thanks again for sharing your property with us.

Really enjoyed playing games with the kids around the house, relaxing around the fire pit, and the bird watching (40 species seen on the property alone). Lots of spaces to spread out as well as sit together. House was comfy, clean and well fitted out. Loved visiting Powers Lookout.

Very clean and modern cottage. Comfortable beds and you want for nothing. Plenty of options around the cottage to keep entertained. Plenty of views down towards Mansfield, Lake Eildon and Mt Buller. Plenty of kangaroos too. By closing the gate at the top of the entrance stairs, you have fenced off the rear yard and the deck. The owners have put a lot of effort in to this cottage and the 8 acres. There's no real need to leave once you are there, but it's only a quick drive into Mansfield if you do. We plan to return.

We loved this secluded little cottage. We enjoyed relaxing on the decking while taking in the amazing views. Everything was well thought of for all guests including our fur babies to enjoy a truly relaxing getaway.

Our second stay at Austracantha and we had another wonderful time. Some great weather, a few late night thunderstorms which were great viewing from the deck and more wildlife than you could shake a stick at. Love this part of the world. Highly recommend this great property if you really want to get away from it all.

We loved our stay at Austracantha cottage. It had a well appointed kitchen and facilities, was very clean and had a lovely feel. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dog with lots of room to run around. The views and sunsets were fantastic. The wildlife were an an added bonus.Theansunsets

Great part of the high country. We were visiting family and Austracantha Cottage provided an excellent base. Nice touches, including the games for young and old and the great fire pit. All we could have asked for other than more time. Im sure we will be back.

Austracantha Cottage was just the relaxing getaway we hoped for over the Christmas break. Though small inside, it has a wrap-around veranda with different views across the beautiful countryside in every direction, as well as a large fenced-in grassy area for dog play. That made it easy for five adults (and one dog) to enjoy time together or spread out and each do our own thing.

Austracantha Cottage is the perfect family stay. The cottage is beautiful and well equiped with outdoor and indoor games and has wonderful views out over the valley. It was such a relaxing stay. The wrap around verandas were a great place to sit and have a drink at the end of the day. Thank you for a magical stay.

We've now stayed a number of times and we just love it. Clean, cozy, has all the essentials plus lots of little extra touches from the decor, heated towel rail, ferry lights and lovely deck to sit and watch the country side and spectacular sunsets. sharing your home

My husband and our dog stayed for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved everything about the property, the cottage itself and the surrounding land with all the wildlife. Very peaceful and the views are amazing!

A nice property to take the family. Close to Mansfield and Mt. Buller

This is such a great place. Stunning property, great views, immaculately clean, very comfortable, has everything you need, heaps of activities including an amazing fire pit. Only slight downside is there is a loud whirring noise (the hot water system maybe?) that sounds almost like a generator every 5 minutes or so right outside the rear bedroom. Would definitely stay here again, ideally in the front rooms only.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The setting was peaceful, quiet and tranquil. Our little dog loved the enclosed back area (though we always supervised her in case she found a way out). The fireplace was a welcomed way to relax and some of the family enjoyed hitting the ski slopes. The beds were very comfortable and it had all the amenities needed to cook dinner.

Lovely home nestled in the foothills of the High Country. The property is large and pet friendly which was great for my Jack Russell :) We really enjoyed the outdoor lights and firepit!

Being familiar with the area I knew exactly what to do. First enjoy the easy drive from Melbourne. We stopped at Yea for bakery lunch, enjoyed under the impressive oak trees at the Showgrounds. Dogs also enjoyed stretching their legs. Arrived at
