Aunt Doodle’s House 8 blocks from Historic Main Street.. Convenient location!

The owner was very prompt in replying to our questions. The property is adorable. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of towels.

Very close to the St. Charles historic district and the Katy Trail. I loved the home history that was shared in the welcome book and around the house. I could picture the happy times the family shared.

Wow!! The house was an oasis on a otherwise chaotic trip with teens. Robert was a fantastic and welcoming host with great communication. The house is very comfortable, clean and has everything to make your stay stress free. The history of the home and decor made us not want to leave. The neighbourhood is very quiet and close to everything you would want. A very hidden gem, hope to be back next year. Thank you Robert.

Home is perfect for adults, lots of small glass lamps that may not work well with smaller children. House was clean and well kept.

House was very cute . Felt safe in area. Only thing that would have been nice is a sidewalk or smoother way of getting to house with suitcases.

This house is the perfect place to stay. A quiet neighborhood close to anything! We had everything we needed and communication was amazing. There is so much to do and see in St. Charles. Highly recommend Aunt Doodle's House, the history inside is an added bonus.

The house was really cute and offered a homey feel while we explored downtown St. Charles and St. Louis. The property was exactly as described and we all really enjoyed our time there.

It was in a fantastic location and truly helped make my stay enjoyable.

I stayed with my grandson for four nights so he could attend hockey camp. The property was okay, but could have used a deep cleaning on the inside and some yard work on the outside. The steps from the driveway to the house were hazardous.

No big complaints. Might need a little spiffying up. Steps to the upstairs really steep Just be careful. Host really nice and friendly and quick to respond.

We just needed a few nights stay to visit family while traveling. This place was so cozy. Everything we could possibly need. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. Highly recommend. Love downtown st Charles area with all the history and this place was perfect! Thank you!

Crazy cute place to stay! The family memorabilia was so interesting, and the home was clean and cozy. St Charles is a wonderful historical area to visit. Would highly recommend this home to others visiting the area. Robert, the host, was friendly and helpful.

My wife was in the Mosaics art fair and this was the perfect place to stay. It was close enough to main street to walk if we wanted to. It was also very accomodating.

My two sisters and I decided to do a weekend getaway and this cottage worked well for us. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with interesting houses and rolling hills. We loved the fact that it’s so close to the Historic Old Main Street for shopping and dining. We also enjoyed reading about the history of the house and the pictures from when the family lived in it. It wasn’t a problem for us but if you have any mobility issues, you might have issues with this house. Access from the street involves walking up a fairly steep sloped yard to reach the front door as there are no steps up from the street. The stairs inside the house to the bedrooms upstairs are also steep which is common for houses built in 1953. I just want to mention it since it could be a problem for some.

Comfortable and close to lively old town St. Charles. We were riding the Katy Trail so the washer and dryer were very appreciated. The housekeeping service should be monitored as cleanliness was an issue.
