Main Level:

As you enter the estate, you walk into a large family living room with a wood-burning fireplace and panoramic mountain views. To your right, is an oversized Chef's kitchen stocked with cookery and cutlery for preparing meals for your group, connected to a large dining room (seating for 14 at the main table, with an optional second table on the southwest corner of the house), with views in all directions.
Also located on the western side of the main floor is a king suite, with a full bath new mattress and bedding, and a private patio door leading out to the upper-level deck. The eastern wing of the main floor has a second king suite, with a large en suite bath, private patio door, flat-screen TV, and an adjoining nursery complete with crib and changing table.

The northeast corner of the main level has the floor's 3rd bedroom, usually the choice of our younger guests. The room has two sets of lodge style, playhouse bunk beds, providing two twin beds and two full beds, as well as a secret passageway (hidden behind a bookcase) leading to a hidden playroom.

Mid-Level:

Continuing downstairs from the living room to the mezzanine level, you'll find 3 of Skyridge Villa's bedrooms as well as two additional baths. This floor also boasts a large arcade/game room area, with panoramic windows overlooking the mountains. The space is equipped with pub table seating, as well as an array of games. Choose from one of our 5 upright arcade machines, the sitting cocktail arcade (with over 1000 classic games), skeeball, foosball, dual pop-a-shot basketball.
The room in the southeast corner of the house has a queen bed, private patio doors, and sweeping mountain views. The room in the northeast corner has a king bed and flat-screen TV. Both rooms share an en suite bath, and an expansive row of closets.

At the center of the second level, just off the game room, is the atheneum suite, an oversized vintage bedroom. The room boasts a private library of classic literature, a wood-burning stove, and an en suite bath. The room is outfitted with a king bed, as well as a loveseat, to relax by the fire and enjoy a book. Also located on the mezzanine level is Skyridge Villa's private cinema, seating 20 in oversized theatre seating on 4 levels, with an 87 inch 4K TV.

Lower Level:

Continuing down the spiral staircase, to the lower level, you'll find the Villa's final bedroom, which has a king bed, private entrance to the house, and access to a full bath right outside the bedroom.

To the west of the lower level, you'll find Skyridge Villa's private spa. Relax in our built-in steam room or sauna, then cool off in the oversized rainfall shower. You'll find plush spa robes and spa towels. We also supply two in-house massage tables... Schedule an appointment with one of our highly recommended area masseuses, and relax without leaving the house!

Outdoor Areas:
As spacious and entertaining as the 5000 square foot interior is, the pinnacle of the Skyridge experience is the expansive outdoor living. The two-level deck has outdoor dining for 16, a gas-burning fire table overlooking the mountains, and an abundance of seating in either the outdoor living area or the rocking chairs. You'll also find both a propane and charcoal grill, as well as a pizza oven, to use during your visit.
Skyridge Villa has an oversized, jacuzzi hot tub that can seat up to 7 and has long-range mountain views from the back deck.

Near the main entrance is our carport converted into an outdoor game room. Completely covered, and partially enclosed, you can still enjoy the mountain air. You'll find the area equipped with a pool table, darts, and ping pong.

To the west of the property, you'll find Skyridge's garden area. As you continue down, walking through the beautifully landscaped garden, past the pond, you will find a custom-built gazebo with mountain views, a short walk from an outdoor seating area.

Access Road:
The road leading to the house is windy and climbs up the mountain (think: best view!). Part of the road is gravel and there are many rough spots. If you are not used to driving in the mountains then it might be kind of an adventure the first time but no one has ever had a problem reaching our house. An AWD/4WD is definitely not necessary unless there is snow on the ground. Please take your time, go slowly and exercise caution.

Snow:
For winter bookings, please be aware that there is a potential of being snowed-in as if there is significant snow on the road, it could become impassable. We do our absolute best to anticipate this and will communicate any potential changes needed for arrival and departure based on the weather. Please understand that this is out of our control and might require some flexibility in your travel arrangements. This is sometimes part of the Asheville winter adventure and safety is a top priority. Thank you!

So beautiful, I am not an early riser but I did when we stayed here. What a stunning view, watching the clouds over the town in the morning it was just wonderful. Julia and team were so responsive and helpful. We had a great time playing pool, watching movies, all sitting together for meals and the kitchen was so great! All 11 adults could fit in there with room to spare. My only complaint is that we had to leave. Couple unique things: bedrooms were separated so it gave a lot of privacy so those who were early to bed weren’t disturbed. Sauna, steam rooms and hot tub were wonderful. We were all together but not in top of each other. Thank you for a great retreat, we will also miss the bears! thank you!

Excellent house for a large group of people. House was very clean, linens stocked for all rooms, including spa/sauna. Lots of room for a large group to move around and enough areas for individual privacy, if wanted.Only thing to note is the road getting up to the house. It is very steep and not fully paved the whole way. You do not need a 4WD (a few of our party made it up there in smaller cars), but a SUV was better. It takes about 15-20 minutes to make the drive up from the town below, so you just need to plan accordingly for any supplies you might need.Overall, great experience.

Our family enjoyed our time at Skyridge Villa. The drive to the house was interesting, specifics were not given about the one lane, lots of potholes drive to and from the house. Only that in inclement weather, you would need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. In icy weather, I think it would be extremely dangerous. But the house was well-stocked and had lots to do! The view was incredible and the beds were very comfortable. The house was a little older than what the pictures showed and the outside upper deck was a little dirty, we understand it's outside in the woods, but it looked like deck could be power washed.Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. Thank you!

House was just what my group needed. The size of the house far exceeded my expectations and the pictures somehow don't do it any justice. I was particularly impressed by the fully stocked kitchen. I felt it had everything you might need. The sauna and the hot tub just perfect for the winter mountain vibe. Would absolutely stay here again.

I love this house and we cannot wait to come back! The rooms are exactly as pictured but even better. The movie theater room is top notch. The kitchen is huge and we loved hanging out here. The view, porches, etc were gorgeous. We kept finding bedrooms, there is no shortage of this and every room is so comfortable with everything you need. My kids (12 and 16) squealed when we entered the house. They loved everything about this house, all the amenities and the space they had to spread out. The adults loved this house just as much. The living area was probably our least favorite (not very comfortable furniture) however, this was not a room we hung out in anyway. We stuck to the kitchen, dining area, game areas, and porches. We never got to enjoy the outdoor fireplace that is located in the yard of the property b/c we were afraid of bears (saw some on the way up). I am sure it would have been fine but we stayed busy. You could bring multiple families here, the house goes from the top down and so much room on every floor to spread out and have your own space/privacy. THIS HOUSE HAS IT ALL!!!!! It was also so convenient to nearby Asheville and Black Mountain, and we ventured out to both. Highly recommend!!! We will be back.

If you’re looking for a place to rent with beautiful mountain views, this is it! The spacious decks were great to hang out on all times of day or night. The adults loved the sauna, steam room and hot tub. The kiddos loved the game room and theatre. The entire home was immaculately clean! We shared big family meals at the dining table and could scatter among living areas for tv watching or relaxing time. We plan to return again next year!

We had a fantastic time at the property for a weekend trip with 14 people. The check-in was simple, contact with the property manager was phenomenal, and the property itself provided everything we needed for the weekend. Several small details such as available coffee options, towels and other linens, and miscellaneous supplies for the grill, fire pit, and other items all made the stay easy. Not to forget, the views of the surrounding area were amazing. We would absolutely return if given the chance.

6 friends from my grade-school/college days agreed to let me host our yearly reunion. We spent a lot of time on the back decks (two levels of decks), just enjoying the fantastic weather. We comfortably ate a couple of meals on the upper deck using the provided tables and chairs. We made use of the pool and ping-pong tables in the carport as well as the video games and foosball table in the other game room (yes, there really are two game areas). We easily made meals in the large and well equipped kitchen and even watched a movie in the theater. On our last night, we loaded up the fire pit and communed. Such fun.

We had a wonderful visit at this house! It is well maintained and the communication with Julia was very reponsive if we had an issue. We did see two of NC's elusive white squirrels coming up and down the road. Great long weekend!!

We just spent a long weekend at Skyridge Villa and the house was perfect for our large group. We had 6 adult couples and 2 extras and there was a ton of room. All of the amenities were exactly as described and everything was in great shape. Julia was extremely helpful with a few questions I had before and during our stay. We will definitely be returning!

This house was perfect for our 20-year friend reunion! As the reviews say, the path up to the house is up a windy, one lane road, but we knew ahead of time and rented cars. But, the path up to the house makes the views worth it! Some of our crew even saw a bear on the way up. And, the house had many amenities to keep our crew of 11 entertained for hours. I had lots of questions leading up to our trip about the house and Julia was super gracious and responded very quickly. 100% would rebook here if we were to come back to the Asheville area.
