Ash Mill - Dornoch

This house was such a great place to stay for our first stay in our Scottish Golf Holiday. After an unforeseen, rocky weather event which made for treacherous driving through unusual high winds (even for Scotland), we made it to our rental. Kristi was in contact with us as they had already gone to the house to clear debris and make sure the house was still in excellent shape. The power in the area went off so nothing could be done. Fortunately, Dornoch proper had power and it was a very short drive to get food. We had to spent one night without power and Kristi went above and beyond to find the engineers out fixing the lines to get us back in good shape by the following night. The home is spacious, new, well appointed, comfortable and in a great location. Beds were extremely comfortable with a European king downstairs (smaller than US king, bigger than US queen) and two rooms with 2 sets of singles upstairs. Each level has a full bath. It worked perfectly for us as two couples. WiFi worked well once we had power. Kitchen was relatively well stocked with dishes, etc. Nice outdoor patio was a shame we could not enjoy due to rain and wind. We would recommend and return here without hesitation. Kristi and her husband were amazing hosts!

We had a wonderful week at Ash Mill enjoying the cathedral ceiling and huge windows in the open plan living room and the well designed and equipped bathrooms. The internet and large TV were excellent and the host even added an app to the TV so we could watch the Open without a Sky Sports package! Very helpful and good to know about for future reference! The bed was comfortable and the towels soft and fluffy. Quiet location with a little glade down the road which I explored. Also there is a little restaurant in walking distance that does take away sandwiches - very convenient. Everything was new and very clean. We could have settled in for another week enjoying the golf courses, scenery, good restaurants in Dornoch and the tranquility.

Great location. Easy to find Ash Mill. Impressive modern house inside and out. Immaculate and clean throughout. Could easily have stayed more than our scheduled three nights. Kids loved the wide open garden and football goal posts … so don’t forget to bring a football

Ashmill is an outstanding property easily accessible from Dornoch. It is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Kristy was a helpful host and I highly recommend this property !
