Architectural Masterpiece on Windansea Beach - Family and Pet Friendly!

We booked this architectural masterpiece to celebrate my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary, and it truly couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the home’s design—it is a stunning work of art, yet it managed to feel incredibly cool, comfortable, and welcoming for the whole family.The location on Windansea Beach is unbeatable. We spent our days soaking in the views and the coastal breeze, feeling like we were in our own private paradise.A huge thank you to our host, Geoff. He was fantastic to work with—attentive, thoughtful, and clearly dedicated to ensuring his guests have a world-class experience. If you are looking for a special place to make lifelong memories, this is it. We are already dreaming of our next stay!

We loved our stay here! The view of the ocean was magnificent and we had easy access to the beach just steps away.The house itself is an architectural gem and obviously lovingly decorated. It was super clean and the fireplace and hot tub were welcome amenities after being at the beach.Our host was friendly, communicative, and very responsive to any questions. He also gave us great ideas about places to go in the area.We will be back!

Absolutely wonderful property. So lucky the owner shares this unique beach front masterpiece with his guests. It's immaculately decorated and situated on an amazing beach. Geoff was more than accommodating during our stay. We were at the property over spring break and there was a lot of action in the afternoons through Sunset. Mornings and evenings are very peaceful and Serene. Our favorite part was listening to the waves crash onto the beach each night. One more thing of note. We always bring pillows to our VRBO stays but this place had the most amazing pillows and bedding. It was like staying at a Four Seasons.

We wanted to stay forever! We had a perfect long weekend of mornings by the fireplace, days following surfers catching waves, evenings watching the sun dip below the sea, and nights sleeping with the sound of the ocean tide rolling in. The house is a mid-century masterpiece with every modern comfort we needed, in the perfect spot. We can't wait to return.

The host was incredibly personable, showing us all the details of the beautiful house with great excitement. That set a terrific tone, and he remained quite accessible when we had questions. The sunsets and ocean views were stunning. The location in La Jolla was fantastic. The house was both fascinating and comfortable. It met all our needs. And it was great that the space was so dog-friendly. We'll definitely be back!

The house had an elevated California coastal vibe. The architectural prowess was noteworthy. The sound of the surf was haunting. The views were neverending. The beach was 15 steps away. The location was convenient for many desirable place. Great host! Our dogs loved the interior courtyard. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful location with all hoped for amenities. It was all very good. We enjoyed our time at the house as well as exploring La Jolla. Front row seats for watching surfing.

The view is amazing for this lovely home. It was immaculate and pleasing. The only thing we had a problem with was the very low to the ground furniture, which was hard for us to get in and out of. Very responsive owner.

We loved our stay in this home. It’s perfect for sitting and watching the waves. We loved the home features and cozy beds. Never slept better. There was plenty of space for the five of us too. The showers had great water pressure. Beautiful details around the home too. We hope to return one day. 11 out of 10 on our scale.

Might be the best VRBO out there - amazing home!. Host was super responsive and helpful. House / view / location all incredible. A few things the house didn’t work perfectly (hot tub, some lights) and the house next door is under construction- but Host was 100% up front about it and responsive to help. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay in this stylish, special home. If only the weather were better, but if 'trapped' inside, this was the home to do it. The home was well stocked and well located, the views incredible. For an architecture geek, the detailing on the house was amazing. HIghly recommend.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay in LaJolla. Check in process very efficient. House manager Yolanda met us there and walked us through all the details. All the comforts of home in one of the most beautiful settings in the US.

My husband and I stayed here when I was in town for a live show I was performing at. I was very stressed out about it all and it was an exhausting weekend and this house could not have been a better place to come back to afterwards. It was so beautiful and relaxing, wonderful location right on a quiet beach. Every day I noticed something new about the house that I didn’t see before. My husband was absolutely in love and says he never wants to stay anywhere else. The hosts wore also wonderful and warm and gave us tons of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We will absolutely be back!

What an amazing place! Very comfortable with gorgeous views and a crazy amount of floor-to-ceiling glass walls, but without feeling like you're on display. The courtyard was beautiful... we used the hot tub and fire pit almost every night. The front deck has a picnic table and chairs, which were great for sitting and watching the sun set. There is a set of stairs down to the beach just across the street, super convenient. My only complaints are small... it's an older home, so it's harder to find an outlet when you need one. Would have been nice to have a charging block by the bed. Also, some towel racks would have been helpful, as the towels are so fluffy and the air so humid, they never really get dry. These are small nitpicks though. I would highly recommend.

We recently spent close to a month at this stunning beach home in La Jolla, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the house. We spent countless hours hanging out, people watching, enjoying the sound of the waves and the gentle ocean breeze. The view is absolutely unbeatable, especially during sunset. Every evening, we were treated to incredible sunsets, painting the sky with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple. The location is perfect—just steps away from the beach, making it easy to take morning strolls along the shore or simply relax by the water. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle, yet still close enough to enjoy all the dining and shopping that La Jolla has to offer. Overall, this home provided an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy beautiful sunsets, this is the place to be We can’t recommend it highly enough!
