Architectural Lighthouse

Comfortable rooms, well stocked kitchen, laundry, living room seating was ample . Water had a sulfuric smell that was quite strong but improved quite a bit over time (we were visiting in May and the house might have not been used recently) overall it was Charming there were even candles for my fathers 81st birthday

We had a wonderful 3-day escape from reality at this lovely seacoast home, with a forest view of the backyard and an ocean view in the front yard. The host responded quickly to questions, and the amenities were more than we could have asked for. We definitely hope to go back some day.

A beautiful property adjacent to the ocean. Everything was clean and comfortable and it felt like we were visiting a friend’s house. With our friend group gathering from across the country, the bedroom and bathroom space were ideal. Awaking to the view is stunning. The water pressure, washer and dryer were all great. We were able to stream a friend’s daughter’s musical performance on the TV. The dining room was an exceptional area for our nightly games and the front sitting room a gorgeous space for morning coffee and tea. The ocean view does have tidal variations, but still beautiful. The deck, a tub and couple other places felt a bit dated, but it didn’t impact our stay. Yes, we would highly recommend the property. Just be forewarned that VRBO holds a HUGE damage deposit at the time of booking (more than the cost of renting for 4 nights) & this is even when you elect to pay for their damage insurance.

Wonderful property, terrific view, easy to find, close to excellent restaurants. We had a flock of wild turkeys, strut through the yard.

Beautiful home with wonderful harbour views, light and airy rooms, comfortable living areas and bedrooms, and all amenities provided - all in a great Orrs Island location!

Beautiful property and wonderful location.

Lowell’s cove is wonderful. We had perfect weather with swimming, lobster, and fun each day. We love Sundrenched, BIGS, and Gurnett for food. Lands End has trinkets and souvenirs. The house is well supplied with pots and spices etc and the beds were all very comfortable! We had a cool sea breeze at night, fans, and extra blankets in each closet. Check in and out process was super easy and management responded very fast to all our pre check in questions. Overall excellent!!

We loved staying at the Architectural Lighthouse! Very clean, with just about everything we needed in hand, and such a beautiful view of the cove. This was our second time renting and we will no doubt do so again!

A very nice place to stay. Some of our friends who planned to come to Orr's Island backed out at the last minute. Two couples had the run of the big house. My college roommate made it a point to sit outside on the deck each morning to take in the solitude of Lowell's Cove and watch the tide come or go out. Due to COVID, neither he nor his wife had travelled long distance for 5 years. They loved the place as much as I did. We noticed a problem with the front door, and contacted the host. She replied almost immediately and sent someone to look at the door. He was unable to fix the door, but at least we knew that the host was serious about doing something about the door.

The house was perfect for our graduation weekend large family group of 11. Wencooked dinner both nights and the house was perfect for our family with three generations.

This was a multi-generational trip and the property had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax! It is decorated with interesting local art and you see Maine in the small touches. I loved that there was plenty of information available for local businesses. The kitchen offered all you need to feed a big group. It is one of my all time favorite VRBO visits and we hope to return soon.

We loved this beautiful, comfortable, well-stocked house at the end of a quintessential Maine cove. Great home base for exploring the area and all that coastal Maine has to offer. Hope to return in the future.

This is our 2nd time renting this home for our friends to have a “ lobster run”. Most of us came from PA but we also had a couple come from SC. The house is beautiful and very welcoming with plenty of room. It is located right at the end of a cove and you can literally watch the tide come and go. There is something like 10- 12 feet difference between high and low tides. Highly recommend this property.

We couldn’t have asked for a better week! The house is absolutely stunning, with an exceptional water view. The modern, well-equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare several delicious home-cooked meals. There are bedrooms on all three floors—our son loved the tower room, while my husband and I enjoyed the two-room suite on the second floor, both with fantastic water views. The neighborhood is peaceful and ideal for a relaxing stroll by the water. This place definitely deserves 5+ stars!
