We enjoyed our time here so much we extended our stay. Nice kitchen with full size stove and plenty of counter space. The beds were comfortable as were the couch and chairs in the living room. Plenty of room for walking around outside and fairly close to Charlottesville for shopping.
We stayed at Paul’s place for a month waiting to move into our house. It was spacious and had everything we we needed. Large porch was wonderful for having coffee and watching the horses. Our dog loved the fenced in yard and getting to meet the horses. Fast internet made working from home easy. Cooked many meals there on the gas stove and grill out back. Thanks again!
We were here for a UVA graduation and loved the surroundings! It was so peaceful and so rejuvenating to be on a farm with beautiful horses, donkey and a pony. However, the bed covering on one of the two beds was stained as well as the sheets on both beds. That is not acceptable. We were able to find some additional sheets that did not have a stain to put on top but, it definitely did not give us a good impression of our indoor accommodations.
We stayed here for the first time in 2021 and were thrilled to come back two years later. My husband and I had such a relaxing visit, enjoying quiet evenings and sitting on the front porch in the morning, watching the horses (who are super social!) in full form. Paul was an excellent host, super responsive when I messaged him to confirm checkout processes. Can't wait to come back again!
Location of the Cabin met our needs to be in a peaceful setting to visit with friends. The mattresses were super comfortable. There were a good supply of basic necessities in the kitchen.
The cabin could be better equipped with towels and other linens and the host was not aware we were coming. He approached me while entering and asked who I was and I was a bit taken back by the encounter. He was a nice guy and understood but still a little odd of an experience. It is a nice quiet cabin with plenty of horses running around though.
Very pleased with the location of the cabin tucked in a corner of a horse farm with spacious lawn area, long back porch and front porch. Autumn colors were fabulous and being able to watch the horses was a plus. Interior of cabin suited our family gatherings of 7 for meals and visiting. Large coffee table in living room supports game boards. Kitchen fully equipped and stocked with essentials and multiple spices. Appliances were clean and well running. Beds were firm with adequate linens. Would consider renting for future family gatherings
Overall was a great experience.
I had such a wonderful time on the farm. This is a very special place. I hope to be back next year!
The host Paul was very good at answering my questions when we wanted to rent the property and also after we got there and there were a couple of things that I wanted to let him know about the property. We so enjoyed looking at the horses and petting them. It was a very quiet place to stay. And pretty convenient within 10 minutes of places to eat.
I loved the stay! The property was secluded and remote, but not too far from the city. Just enough to give you that relaxing and 'natural' feel. It was clean, spacious and overall, just beautiful. The scenery was amazing and the horses were cute and friendly. The old cookbooks were interesting to.read through.
Awesome place to stay. Quiet, place for dogs, all the things you need.
We had a great time with our friends and dogs at Paul’s home. Our dogs had a great time running around in the fenced in yard. The horses on the farm were beautiful and fun to watch. The house fit two couples comfortably. We would stay here again.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Anna Valley Farm. We were in the area to attend and celebrate our daughter’s graduation from UVA. The views at the farm were absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Close to many vineyards, the location was a convenient getaway for the Charlottesville area. Seeing the horses every morning was awesome and we especially loved the small, brown pony! Can’t wait to come back for another visit!!
Perfect accommodations for our short trip to Virginia! Paul went above and beyond to assist us in any and every way possible! The property is beautiful and I agree with other reviews that the photos of the cabin don’t do it justice. Very clean and has everything you might need for your get away ! The animals on the property are a delight to watch and greet and the farm hand even took the time for a quick chat !! Will most certainly stay here again if we are in the area again. Thank you Paul!!
