V R B O recently launched a total price in the name of transparency, but what it means is you can't see the breakdown anymore. We at The Manor at South Bay charge around $550 a night. This is our way of being transparent.

The questions we get asked the most are:

1)Is the pool heated and is it open The pool is not heated and it is open June-October.

2)Can we host a wedding here Yes, but you'll need to contact us before booking, rates are typical of a wedding venue. Weonly allow 4 events to be held each year.

3) Are roads maintained during snowy weather We rarely get snow, but the farm is on the same grid as the hospital and we've never lost power and roads around us are well traveled and very well maintained.

4)Are you close to anything We are close to everything! One of the last farms standing, we are a short uber ride to dozens of fabulous bars and restaurants, we are serviced by instacart, door dash, uber eats. We are less than a mile from a pub, gas station, espresso stand that is voted Best of Olympia year after year.

THE MANOR at SOUTH BAY

One of the elements that sets the Manor apart from other rentals in the area (aside from its size, beauty, and professional staff) is the animal sanctuary on site. The lovely animals that call our farm home have been rescued from processing plants, neglect, abuse, and more. Our rental funds the sanctuary, which is a win win for our guests! We appreciate that YOU make this possible.

Currently, the Manor is home to two rescued Old Spot Gloucestershire pigs who were bound for the freezer, 10 sheep who had the same fate, several horses who were rescued from slaughter.

The horses, pigs, and sheep are all available for guests to engage with. They love attention, and especially love treats. You can feed the pigs your table scraps, picnic with the sheep, and ride/visit the horses. (prior scheduling required)
Please see our albums for photos of the animals who call the Manor home. And if you have already booked your stay with us, THANK YOU for contributing to our success as we continue to rescue all types of animals who need us.

When you're done visiting the animals, you can adventure out onto our many many trails in the magical forest. It is also a great way to connect with nature, as you can often spot owls, huge bird nests, coyote tracks, ant hills, bunnies, and other fun wildlife.
And don't miss our amazing scavenger hunt suitable for all ages in the woods. Varying levels of difficulty so that everyone can participate and feel challenged. Scoring sheets are in the breakfast nook.

**We have brought back our volleyball net, and added even more lawn games.**

After booking, you will receive an email with optional upgrades you can order online such as pony rides, accompanying us while we feed animals, sheep petting, attending our working dog training (watch border collies herd sheep), farm tour, use of our large ballroom for family activities, and more!

You can expect professionalism and caring hospitality when staying at the Manor. We have been at this for over 16 years, and it's our main industry, not a side hustle.

From all day concierge service, to options like pre arrival grocery delivery and daily housekeeping, we go above and beyond to provide our guests with a 5 star experience in the comfort of a spacious home.
Our vacation rentals are fully prepped to perfection prior to your arrival.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please note: Quoted rates allow a 4pm check in and 11 am checkout. Daytime gatherings or other special events will require you to contact us for more info.

Unregistered guests and pets will be charged a $1000 violation fee and your reservation may be canceled.

I pay my bills a week in advance, i adjust the thermostat, pack my meds, so that I'm prepared to leave home. Driving 3 hours in heavy rain and back traffic hoping I'd receive a code to get into the rental stressed me. Vrbo is ironically running tv commercials about the coach telling the guests check-in is at 4pm. They say it's 3:50! He says:I know.We didn't receive the door code until 50 mins after arriving. We checked the door at 4:15 because we really had to go. The door was open. There is a list on the kitchen island that makes you believe you're Cinderella. A long list of chores with s threat at the end if you fail to accomplish the list. The owners live on site. You are being watched. They come and go doing maintenence around the property. Their drive ends at a parking lot. One side has signs posted that parking is not allowed. We had to block one of our two cars in, because of all the cars already there. The house is huge, rooms and more rooms. If you or your party has disabilities, you might think twice about this home. The majority of bedrooms were all upstairs (there are so many stairs!), and the rauls to assist you are very loose. My wife's parents had to stay downstairs in the only bedroom. They were forced to sleep in one twin bed and the other on the double. The double is part of a bunk bed, so you would have to crawl over your partner to get in or out of bed (78 & 80 years old).Lastly, the kitchen/bath tiles are a skating rink.

I rented the unit for my family to stay in while they helped with my downsizing. As I live at Panorama, it was a very convenient location. I did not spend much time there because of being busy but also because of no handrail from the entry level to the kitchen. The children enjoyed watching the animals and feeding the pig. Also Misty working with the dogs and sheep. I will definitely use it again if the need arises.

Wish we could have stayed longer but was very easy and pleasant regardless. Thanks !

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the available amenities (summer stuff wasn’t open yet ). We were able to make a short notice reservation, the staff communicated very well with all of our questions, and there was plenty of room for all 24 of us to be comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to make a meal, we made use of the piano (slightly to of tune but it was just for fun anyhow!), and loved the hot tub in the rain! We would definitely go again if the opportunity arises!

We rented this beautiful property for a family reunion, and it was a great choice! The house was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, easily accommodating our large group of 12 plus daytime visitors. Each room was comfortable, with cozy beds and fresh linens. The large common areas were perfect for meals and games. The property had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to multiple entertainment options, including a ping pong table, lap pool, and hot tub. The outdoor space, with a large patio and barbecue grill was ideal for a family cookout and a great space to gather and take in views of Mount Rainier. Our host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring we had a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this property for any large gathering and look forward to returning in the future!
