Stayed Dec 20, 2025It was a wonderful stay, lots of food nearby and the animals were amazing. It was a bit cold in the loft (stayed in December) so bring lots of blankets. Loved it though

Stayed Jul 30, 2025Great experience! If you love animals, you really won't regret coming here. We got to feed the calves in the morning, and play and pet all the animals. The loft itself is very cute and cozy, and the hosts were very nice:) It is also only an hour away from Niagara Falls, so it was perfect.

Stayed May 29, 2025The loft apartment was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Farm fresh eggs for breakfast were much appreciated . It was the perfect place to relax and reset. Watching all the farm animals was very entertaining. They all have their own personalities . Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a laid back and peaceful getaway..yes, the roosters are vocal early in the morning...didnt mind at all

Stayed May 11, 2025Oh my word! This was the cutest little loft! It was very clean and cozy. Amber and Gort were great hosts. Amber even sent me texts to let me know info about a calf! And the animals!!!!! I loved the animals. I spent a lot of time in the pens petting the livestock and taking pictures!!! I may have bonded with a few. . This was an overall great place to stay!

Stayed Dec 23, 2024I had an incredible stay over the holidays at the farm. After a very rough year, being around all the animals was just what my soul needed. Amber is a lovely and accommodating host, as is her partner Gord. I was able to visit with the animals as much as I wanted. My favourite part was feeding the Highland calf Figaro a bottle of warm milk every morning! I loved learning the animal's names and hearing the stories of how they ended up on the farm. The farm fresh eggs in my room was a very nice touch. I did not find staying in the loft over the barn noisy at all and I am a very light sleeper. Looking forward to coming back sometime to try out the dome they are now renting out.

Stayed Dec 6, 2024The hosts were very accommodating! The loft is super cozy and excellently designed. Restaurants only 10-15 mins away. The animals were obviously the best part (for me anyways! Lol) Thank you so much for having us :) It was such an amazing way to spend my 30th birthday!

Stayed Oct 20, 2024My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and it was even more amazing than we could have ever imagined!!! The apartment above the barn is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and so comfortable. We were able to help feed the animals which was so much fun! The owners were very kind and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back!!

Stayed Sep 15, 2024A wonderful, relaxing experience - beautiful location with many friendly animals roaming around that you can help feed, thoughtful and responsive hosts that went the extra mile with fresh eggs and starting a campfire, a private, clean and cozy room. Keep in mind that you can hear the rooster very well from the bedroom at some points, even with noise cancellation. Overall though, we had a magical stay and highly recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed Aug 11, 2024The apartment is charming, with a sufficiently complete kitchen to cook small meals (two burner hotplate in the drawer, pots & pans, microwave, toaster, toaster oven). The variety of farm animals is astonishing; some of them like the Highlands cattle and special chicken breeds are rare as well. The baby goats while I was there were extraordinarily cute, even if they did try to eat my pants! I commuted by bicycle to McMaster U, which was about 30 minutes almost entirely on bike lane or broad-shouldered roads (via York Blvd. Using York Road does have some narrow sections with traffic). As it turned out, being on a farm meant that when my bike had a mechanical problem, all the tools to fix it were ready to hand! A couple of cautionary notes for city folks: The entrance is directly through the poultry pen, so one should not be shy about encountering geese or turkeys up close and personal. It should perhaps also be made more explicit in the online description for city dwellers that the roosters do start crowing loudly at the first hint of dawn (in August this was about 5:30 AM). There is a white-noise machine available, though I just got up early so can't say how useful it is. However, if you want a full farm experience in a lovely apartment, I can highly recommend this lodging.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024If you're looking to an alternative to the usual home away from home rental property, we'll look no further than this little gem! This cozy loft is on the second floor of a fully functioning barn with all the barnyard animals. Immediately when we got to the location we were surrounded by all these adorable little animals. We spent some time visiting the different pens, petting them, and even feeding them some apples. Our reservation and check-in process was super easy. Our host Amber was very communicative and had the loft all ready for us by the time we showed up. Highly recommend you check it out if you're looking for something different and super fun! 🤘👌👍

Stayed Jul 19, 2024Listing is accurate - we were on the go so only really there to sleep. Very clean and nice loft. Climate control works well. The noise machine does help remove a bit of the good mornings by the roosters and chores. If you arrive late the geese are a bit protective as you try to pass by. The entrance is through the animals. If you are afraid of farm animals this not the place for you. Lovely stay and nice attentive hosts.
