You could have a perfectly lovely stay without ever leaving the property, but if the allure of the town (Cambria), the coast or Hearst Castle call to you, everything is just a brief drive away. You'll want to be back here for at least one sunset as the location is set up to provide quite a show. At the ranch the night sky is typically deep black and spectacularly full of stars.
