    The interior space, decor, and location this home provided were very nice for a family of 10. However, the elevator was not working when we arrived on Sunday—an amenity we needed since two members of our family had impaired mobility, and we noticed that many of the kitchen utensils had been put away greasy and dirty. After calls to the property manager every day, the elevator was repaired on Thursday afternoon, but we were required to leave the beach and come back to the house and wait on the service man for three hours. The largest problem became apparent on Thursday morning when fleas were found in the second floor MBR and adjoining bunk room. We had NO pet with us. Management did come and set off a flea bomb. We requested maid service to come later and clean the rooms and bath connecting them and change the linens since there were fleas in the beds, which they did. Much to our chagrin there were still active live fleas that night and all the way until we checked out Sunday morning. When we called on Friday, we were told it just takes time to kill them—which may be true, however, 5 people had to move to other rooms. This rendered 2 of the BR’s and the only bathtub upstairs unusable for the last 3 of our 7 day stay. Management has yet to respond to our phone call or letter asking to resolve this issue, and of course the full rental price has been charged on our Visa. We have vacationed in Watercolor 5 times staying in 4 different homes, and never had issues like this before.

    This is one of the most gorgeous places I have stayed in! It was in a perfect location to walk to Watercolor Beach Club. Plenty of room for 14 of us. It had everything we needed to cook or grill. I will definitely stay here again!

Kids loved the ice machine, foosball table and the elevator.Has 5 bikes and a golf cart that we used. Lots of space for a large group with many get away places in the house. Highly recommend!

    Gorgeous location adjacent to the lake and walking trail. We loved all of the comfortable outdoor spaces on every level of the home. There is enough space for a larger party to enjoy being together and equally as many opportunities to escape for some alone time. Perfect vacation spot, quiet, family oriented, spacious, and very luxe!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our overall stay at The Gold Standard was amazing! The property was top notch and location unbeatable. It felt like staying at a high end resort and overall the home had everything we needed. A few suggestions/disappointments were that for this price of a rental, some of the little things were cheap such as quality of toilet paper (probably the thinnest we have ever used) and 2 rolls per bath, no extra trashliners for the kitchen, 2 Finish dishwasher tabs, minimal kitchen towels, things like this. It was probably one of the lowest stocked homes we have stayed in when it came to these things and for this price and size of rental, we didn't feel it should have been on us to purchase a full package of dishwasher detergent, trash liners, toilet paper and so on to just have to throw out at the end of our stay.Other than this though, the management team was prompt with a few questions/issues we had with the fireplace and pool and our overall stay was great!

Large with multiple (very large) bedrooms. Main living area a little small and cut up, but other than that --one of the best houses in Watercolor. Pool light timer stayed on all nite, sending multi-color light show into the master bedroom windows. Reported it, but was never fixed whole staying at the house for a week.
